Risen a lot since then, but if I was starting out that'd be a fair salary for first line trainee, I'd expect to rise quickly to nearer £20K though even in the public sector.

Depends on location and sector generally - could be anywhere from 12-30k!![]()

Unfortunately for starters unless your very lucky, your average starting salary will be between £13k-£16k depending on where you are, and it will most likely be desktop support, but thats where you get experience, then decide what direction you want to go in![]()
I disagree with this, if you are a grad in the South East on a graduate scheme, the starting salary is £26-28k.
