Sam Allardyce - Sacked as England manager amid corruption investigation

Who in their right mind is going to take the job now. I can think of no one suitably qualified, stupid enough to jump onboard.

Our press are poison though. Horrible lot.

maybe so, but if you are stupid enough to start talking about shady things and prepared to sell yourself for 400K you deserve everything the press give you when you are supposed to be the manager of a national team whose FA claim to be running a clean shop.

Big Sam is a lot of things but naive isn't one of them!

He knew what is he was getting involved in.He's been caught with his hand in the cookie jar no sympathy whatsoever!

Can't say I'm too fussed to be honest - he showed in one game that he doesn't have the guts to make the big changes!

Anyone can keep picking the same under-achieving group of lads and tell them to try and play like Spain/Brazil!

Seems the press always get the knives out for the England boss, always trying to catch them in one scandal or another. They did with Hoddle, Sven, Capello and now Allardyce, I'm no fan of Big Sam, and I'm glad hes gone, but it must be a nightmare having to look over your shoulder every second of everyday.

Agreed that Big Sam has been a complete tool and deserves to go.
But jesus christ, our press/media are just complete utter disgraceful people. It's complete entrapment and I don't see any other country literally trying to sabotage their nations coaches/politicians etc
Absolute bottom of the barrel these people.

I'm annoyed about this and also sickened by the depth of which corruption goes in our game. They shouldn't have allowed him to, nor given him chance to resign, he should have been sacked. Lineker can waffle on about "elements of entrapment" but the fact is, this clown stated he got the job of his dreams whils practically weeping on TV about how proud he was 70 days ago when clearly he has the moral compass of a rat, he should have taken delight in telling them to do one.

Not proud enough to show an ounce of respect for the national team or his employers who throw 60k a week into his fat trough.

He's an utter disgrace who has made us a laughing stock on the world stage, a stage where we've been instrumental in the demand for clearing out corruption in the game whilst our own national manager can't keep his fat snout out the bucket. Because £3million a year isnt enough., ******!

Not really looking over his shoulder was he? Brazenly setting up dodgy deals in restaurants...

I have no great love for our press but his behaviour was appalling.

I'd love him to have another go. He never lost his job through performances, just went a bit David Icke on us.

Would be a little hypocritical surely? Sack a manager for off the field comments...appoint someone who was sacked...for off the field comments.

Sven and Iain Dowie comboe. Bring the glory days back.
