The CH711 is 2560 x 1440. The annoying thing is that its listed as 60Hz, when everyone was expecting 144Hz.why didnt they make a 1440p variant.
For those who own the 24" model, does the curve add much? I'm thinking of getting one of these and I'm wondering if it's worth the premium over other 1080p/144hz screens.
The curve is a small bonus in my view. A subtle addition, but quite a nice one that just gives a slight extra feeling of depth. It certainly isn't as noticeable as it is on larger and moreover wider ('UltraWide') screens. But the curve is really only a minor feature of this monitor, it's the fact it uses a VA panel and all its direct competition uses TN panels that distinguishes it from the pack. The combination of image quality and responsiveness on this one is really quite impressive in my view. It isn't a perfect monitor, but no monitor is.
I see that the C32HG70 is up for pre-order elsewhere to be released on June 10th. I wonder if the C27HG70 is on the way too then? I'd rather have the smaller monitor for higher DPI. Quantum Dot SVA panel, curved, 1440p, 144hz, free sync and possibly HDR?
I also wonder if OcUK will be stocking these?
Source for it being identical apart from the stand?Haha. Gotta love Samsung's extended model codes. The preferred designation is simply C24FG73. It's identical to the C24FG70 aside from the stand, plus the fact you're guaranteed a relatively new revision as it hasn't existed for long.

That sounds great, I followed the huge thread on overclock.net about the older Samsung monitors. But, do you have a source for this new info?Apparently higher rgb gamut or accuracy or something . Hopefully, and this is the biggest one, all purple/orange trails are fixed.

Not sure what the sarky tone is for. I was just asking for a source.Samsung contacts and user feedback to back it up. It amazes me that people kid themselves into thinking that this is miraculously different to the CFG70. It isn't - but set yourself up for diappointment if you like. It is certainly a significant improvement over old CFG70s, but then again so are new CFG70 revisions. The difference is that the CFG73 is guaranteed to be a 'new revision'. Nothing else has changed under the hood from what I've been told. This is a simple re-marketing exercise.
