Samsung Galaxy S2 vs HTC Sensation

How do you mean the only thing is the camera in the GS IIs favour? The SAMOLED+ screen, slimness, lightweightness, higher specs and modding aren't worth mentioning? :D

What might that be Khaaan?
The world clock cant seem to find countries that the HTC model found, but what have you found out ?

Isn't that -4 hours time difference? in which case click the globe button which loads a 3D Globe like Google Earth and look for a neighbouring city as the clock lists most major cities by the looks of it just to cover the time zone regions?

As for the alarm, it has some advanced Snooze and Smart Alarm features with individual tones/timeouts and repeats. Something the Sense alarm clock doesn't have.

I like the feature in my orange san francisco that makes you draw a pattern of dots in order to snooze or dismiss. Wish the GS2 had it.

Kaloer Clock is a better clock/alarm than any other stock alarm clock still, IMO anyway. It has fade in, math problem snooze where you have to solve a math problem at a difficulty level you pre-set in order to snooze/dismiss the alarm and it looks sick.

Of course it looks sickest on an AMOLED :p

Thanks das a cool clock. Makes me want to have my phone in view lol.

Can someone run the peacekeeper benchmark on the sensation's default browser?

http://clients.futuremark.com/peacekeeper/run.action

I get 991 points on my GS2 and 159 points on my Orange San Fran

+ HTC Sense just blows touch wiz away as well as any other UI for Android

HTC Sense isn't all that. I like the sense 3.0 carousel feature on the home screen but thatS about it - the dock and app draw are fugly and it'd be replaced by a different launcher anyway. The features of sense are easily matched by TW4.

has there been any side by side comparisons yet? ie physically next to each other, given that they're both actually out in retail i find it strange that I can't find one!

I would still take the Samsung if I was buying now, android is all about moding and with HTC locking the boot-loader they have seriously restricted the phone.

I wouldn't contemplate selling the GS2 to get a Sensation.

If you ask me, the Sense UI is overdone and gimmicky making it juddery. Plus it's probably eating the RAM up, of which there isn't that much. The lockscreen is very nice compared to Samsug, though I have modded mine with widgetlocker. After having AMOLED on my past 3 phones, I can't go back to anything else. Can't tell if I'm holding the phone in the dark! The blacks are that good! I think the camera is poor on the sensation too, tis what I heard. Don't know what people think of the sound (music) quality compared to GS2.

When I played with Sense in a Vodafone store it was very responsive on the Sensation.

I just want to chip in and say that I got the chance to have a look and play with both the Samsung Galaxy S2 and the HTC Sensation.

My verdict is that the S2 is miles better than the sensation. It's slimmer, feels lighter, has a proper Home button and - considering they have similar hardware - the Samsung just feel faster and more responsive.

Cheers
