Samsung Galaxy S24 Family Thread

I can't decide between the plus and the ultra!

Its annoying as I want to go play Starfield :D

This guy seems to think the S24+ performs better than the S24 Ultra in games as it doesnt throttle. Not that I play games much on my phone.

It's not really damage limitation, it's just standard practice, Samsung always release new camera updates for new phones right from launch and that lasts a whole year typically.

I can see how most are excited to get their hands on the 24 lol. I'm hoping it comes early next week as I'm off the whole week lol.

The spec sheet says the 24U is capable of dual e-sim - a first for Samsung I think?
If it means two active dual e-Sims at the same time then it's a first yeah. S23 has been able to store multiple eSIMS but only one active at a time.

I went onto live chat as I never received my £50 code, they gave me a goodwill code and looks like it works on all Samsung products and not just S24.

If you're not planning on using it I'd be interested in taking it potentially, as I kinda fancy a Watch6 Classic to go with my S24 Ultra...!

Or anyone else who got a code and doesn't plan to use it :)

Thanks! :D

I think we got some the same pre-order offers in Ireland(minus the £50 voucher) but wee have to claim the watch after getting the phone where it seems the UK receive it with the phone from seeing some screenshots of orders on here - no strap here either, but, we did receive a 'Use it or lose it' €100 store voucher.

The inner screen on my Fold 3 has a black spot and the touch is hit and miss at the best of times so I went for the S24+. Received €200 for trading in an old non-working phone. Also used the €100 'use it or lose it' voucher to get a pair of Buds2 for €50, which I'll probably sell along with the watch.

Slightly apprehensive about the Exynos processor but at the same time, how bad can it be? I know previous ones had poor battery life but I charge everynight and my usage isn't the highest these days.

So, I thought my code wasnt working, and I managed to bag myself a spare code here on this forum from @RobK. Turns out I hadnt copied the full code from Samsung chat and I have just been able to work out the missing part. It would just be fair to offer it to somebody else here on this forum.

So if anybody still wants a £50 discount code, along with a free Cover and screen protector drop me a message. (ps: this is for the phone only, it cant be used on accessories)

Looks like the camera is getting a pre launch update and reviewers shouldn't have tested it yet....although this could be damage limitation by Samsung

watched a couple of youtubes on camera comparison between S24U and iPhone 15 Pro Max. I mostly couldn't tell the difference, the quality is so high with both, but these guys could spot the differences.
Mostly they could adjust any S24U shortcomings manually in post-processing, so reckon that software updates are expected to meet or exceed.
Cameras are so good, at high-res, in video, zooming, and low-light, these days.
Really impressive, I don't think apple or android users would be compelled to switch based on it.
Be interesting to see what this patch brings though.

Better look at the AG glass vs non Ultra, (and by def, all other phones):

This is a major feature over anything else tbh. 75% glare reduction.

Do not put a screen protector on the Ultra...

The screen looks so much better, luckily I've never used screen protectors anyway, I just use a case and never put the phone in my pocket with anything else like keys that could scratch the screen.
