Samsung Galaxy S24 Family Thread

I have to send in my old phone as trade in and I want to use special delivery and not the tracked 48 label provided, but the instructions say I have to use the label provided. I know the label has the address, customer ref no & barcode on, do I ask Royal mail to stick the special delivery label over the top tracked 48 part or write a new "label" myself with the trade in ref no on?
What did others do for special delivery?

I normally wait seven days for the reminder email, this contains a link to request another label by email that has both the 48 hour tracked and a special delivery option.

I sent mine off today via Special Delivery and included the reference number inside the package, as well as included it on the outside below their address.
I am sure I did this the last time I traded in a phone with them and it was fine.

Ask them to stick the SD label over the top tracked 48 part. That's what I did today. Tomorrow is my 14 days, just in time phew. :D

Never heard of PKPASS, any specific use cases?
Anything that doesn't add to wallet I just screenshot and manually add using the add from screenshot option
Pkpass is for train tickets, planes and the like. It's the format that the apple wallet uses very popular. It's not however unique to apple so can used on android and various third party apps support it.

Funky HDR processing (or lack of) depending on what mode you are in. Here are direct JPEG captures comparing each mode, it's clear that Expert RAW offers superior HDR regardless of the resolution used (I use 24MP in it as that enables Adaptive Pixel in settings).

What I've found is that Photo and Pro modes do not use HDR properly with the current firmware. It feels like it's taking only 3 photos max and joining them for the merge, whereas Expert RAW is taking at least 7. Gcam in Pixel phones take several too and process the result much faster. I am waiting for a Gcam built that works properly to test this theory out as it's been said in various places that pixels still have the upper edge for stills photography thanks to instant HDR image stacking and processing, an area that Google have perfected for a while now.

Yes they will stick the new special delivery bar code and QR code over the existing bar code and QR code on the provided label. I sent mine in last Saturday and it reached on Monday.

I've just turned off both eye comfort shield and adaptive tone and the display looks a lot nicer, still natural but not so washed out for anyone interested.

Then compared it to the Pixel 8 pro side by side and it looks decent now

I bought this case from amazon. It adds a lot of weight to the phone making it even more comfortable when texting etc
I notice it is £10 on Ebay I paid £20 from amazon not sure if any difference
I had very similar case for my s22 but it wasn't as heavy

Case from amazon feels decent and heavy

3x watches sold to envirofone, last two were delivered to them yesterday (the day of quote expiry), payments sent today for the correct amounts, quite happy with that

Exclusive: The next version of Galaxy S24 series will solve the problem that the vivid screen mode is not vivid. Add the "Vividness" option, and you can adjust the vividness of the third gear by yourself. The default is S24' s current vividness, So people who are satisfied with the color of the S24 screen don't have to worry. If you raise the vividness by one notch, you will get a color similar to S23 Ultra, and if you raise it by two notches, you will get a bright color similar to S21 Ultra.and the Now, you can buy Galaxy S24 with confidence.Just wait for the update.Almost a perfect solution

I think they mean software not a new phone.

Just sold mine instantly on ebay for 100 - there is 80% off fees promotion now so not too bad.

I had my first in-person look at the S24 Ultra during the week. They had it in the grey titanium and it's a marvellously gorgeous looking thing.
Indeed, flat screen looks so much better. Never understood while flagship phones had curved edges. Thankfully it seems to be beyond us now.
