Been a Samsung user since the S10 and used the loyalty programme all the way up to S23 Ultra. Was holding out for the s25 but it's just more of the same.

I've gone for a OnePlus 13 to see what it's like at a much more palatable cost. One UI gone a bit stale on me as well after so many years.

All the AI and assistant stuff is irrelevant, lucky if I make or take 3 calls a month, so don't need screening etc.

It's all about battery, charging and screen time where the s25 and Samsung seem to have stood still. Everything else is just apps or built in with Google AI anyway.

I was tempted by the OP13 but I'm quite wary of OP phones, whenever I've had one, it's always had some sort of issue. There's also been photo comparisons with the s24u kicking around Reddit and the processing looks really bad on it, looks like a downgrade even compared to the Op12..... and of course you won't get the anti reflective display.
I'm bored with the Ultra and it's stagnation too(id even considered getting an iPhone) but it's reliable and still I'd say as an overall package the best Android phone.

Think it shows where the market is when all we have to go on to evaluate quality is the processing of pictures and so on.

Most people take a picture with their phone, post it on socials and go "Ah that's nice" and it's sits on the cloud never to be seen again.

Not to say there aren't pros who do care about that kind of thing but average users don't take much notice. In the mainstream now cameras are just too good to notice.

It has all become stale, even looks don't differentiate, colours seem pointless as covered by a case.
Don't know what's going to reignite it all

Got this new email last night. Basically you pay £50 and they email you a new code on the 22nd to get £100 off. So £150 off in total. I've never had anything like this in the previous years of pre ordering the Ultra....https://ibb.co/2twRj8c
I dont know how you got that, the onlything they sent me was https://ibb.co/7YpYTt4

The other issues is, you need to place the order before even knowing what you will get and what discounts and offer they will have.

For the double up email, it seems to be linked to your Samsung account that is installed on your phone.
