Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Honeycomb Tablet

That's like saying don't buy a iPad 2, as a iPad 3 is round the corner. There's always going to be something better.

I got my Transformer overclocked to 1.4 and running quite smoothly even with a live wallpaper.

It's not really like saying that though, I think there are clear faults with this generation of Android tablets and I'm a massive fan of Android phones. I don't actually believe they should be classed as fit for retail.

Tegra2 has issues, all these are detailed in the major review sites and there shouldn't be a need to overclock a device to run parts of the shipped OS, of which Live Wallpapers are.

Google need to manage their hardware partners better, there's still a clear gap in performance in regards to gaming performance and battery life versus the iPad2

The Application Market is now in a good position as too is Google services and applications, their efforts should be concentrated on the above in my opinion.

Again, a massive fan of Android and I was impressed by the Honeycomb UI versus it's mobile phone OS siblings but whilst I have money burning a hole in my pocket at the moment, I certainly won't justify spending it on buggy hardware/software.

I wouldn't take the demo unit experience seriously at all, the amount of people that mess about and do stupid things to them and ruin the experience is crazy. My xoom is perfectly smooth and has never frozen up on me one in the month I've had it.

I wouldn't take any of these experiences seriously either. I'm running a 10.1 (with 3.1) and apart from the odd app the daily hands on experience is as one would expect it to be.

I've not noticed any slowdowns on my unclocked Transformer either.

I think people here are obsessed with eye candy over actual useability though, people were installing buggy alpha Gingerbread updates on their phones just for the CRT animation.

some on ebay for £350 plus £30 postage? can that be trusted is the question

You'll end up paying VAT of 20% and a carriers admin fee (parcelforce charge £9 in my experience), as its coming from abroad.

What you are seeing is a US seller and the converted dollar price, hence why it is cheap.

Can I buy one of those here? What does it look like and what is the output rating on it? Maybe I can use my HTC one?

You can buy for around £30, search for Samsung travel adapter. The output rating is 2A. You can use another cable as one end is A propriety connector. As Jimlad said you could use a cheap adapter plug or buy a usb charger.
