Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Honeycomb Tablet

How much you pay ?

Can these be bought at the stores ?

I paid £229 and then £15 pm for a 24 month contract (2gb pm + 2gb Openzone) so £589 over the 24 months which is about what Ive seen the 32gb 3g's advertised for without the data allowance.

I'm not sure if the £15 contract is available in store, when I phoned Vodafone up they told me the only contract they had with the Tab at £229 was for £27 pm and that had 2gb pm and 1gb Openzone.

If only I had been a day earlier and I could have got the £15 pm on a 12 month contract instead of 24 months :(

I'm still happy with an initial outlay of just £229 and don't feel like I'm being screwed to much with the over all price over 24 months.

Bought mine today, spent around an hour testing all the tablets in Currys today, finally went with the 32Gb wifi edition for 399 with the dock.

The store one seemed alittle more responsive than this one. Any apps you guys would recommend

The USB connection kit has arrived:

Nice and small.

Only £399? :o

How did you get it that cheap

I didn't, box says 32Gb wifi version, turns out its only a 16Gb one :'(

Been using this all day, to be totally honest I'm blown away by it, screen on 75%
Total of around 7ish hours of browsing, installing apps and testing avi video and I'm currently sitting at 41% battery :O my HTC desire dies after 2 hours of wifi browsing.

I've been testing the office side of things as I got this for note taking and work when in uni, I don't game any more so felt this would be a lot more productive that a laptop.

Still in the testing phase and loving it, well worth the purchase :-D

Was going to say ;)

Was looking around for a 32GB one but havent been able to find somewhere near that stocks them :( So going for 2 of the 16GB ones (one for me and one for the gf).

Luckly have a friend who gets 10% discount for where he works and getting them for £360 odd each :)

Any streaming facilities from windows 7 to this? Wouldn't mind being able to watch my video collection over my network wirelessly without having to put a copy of the file on the device

Messed around with standard definition files such as futurama yesterday and was amazed at the ability to play avi straight out of the box. Looks amazing.

Going to get screen protector and cover for this at the weekend, got a 20% discount after my purchase at currys, any recommendations?

The tab should have allshare which will pick up any media streamer there is (same with the samsung tv's and phones).

Try a piece of software called "tversity" or "twonkyvision".. have used both previously although I use twonkyvision at the moment as it can be loaded onto a NAS and works that way :)

Well I have an issue with the Samsung Kies, was working fine yesterday, sending files wirelessly but now when I click on the kies, it dims the screen but does nothing. Before it would scan my PC and allow transfer ect.

I'll give tversity a go, think I've used it before

How do people rate this so far, real people actually using it?

I am SO tempted.

I wouldn't usually jump on the bandwagon, but I've used android for over a year and was in the same boat as you, did I want one? I don't game as much anymore and wanted something I could watch TV while i browse the web. so far its been great does the things I need it to do, browse, stream, word process etc (Google docs is amazing). As for the price I think it can be justified, been browsing all day and the battery is still at 62%. its fast but my only niggle is when I have a live wallpaper on the background the screen scroll and icon placement isn't as smooth as I wanted, using a static background picture resolves this immediately.

Still in the testing phase, but highly recommend it. Best thing to do, go to currys/PC world and try them out, I didn't go with intentions of buying a tab so soon, but after trying the ipad2, HTC flyer and this, it stood out.

I have a gaming rig and if I ever need to upgrade it will just be the GFX as everything is is sweet at the moment.

So for browsing I find myself using my desire HD....I just want bigger that I can use on the sofa....Im going to take the plunge :D
