Lol just had an email from Samsung US saying it's available, what about the UK?

I have seen it on eBay from a UK seller... tempted to buy it for £520 including postage

Need to get the book cover from somewhere though.

There are quite a few on the UK site. If you go that route make sure you have UK psu plug.

Can I buy one of those here? What does it look like and what is the output rating on it? Maybe I can use my HTC one?

You can buy for around £30, search for Samsung travel adapter. The output rating is 2A. You can use another cable as one end is A propriety connector. As Jimlad said you could use a cheap adapter plug or buy a usb charger.

I am ordering the 32GB WiFi Only Tab from Best Buy, for pickup in MA (USA) - total cost of $638 including sales tax. I was thinking about getting the keyboard, but decided against it until I feel that I really need it.

Good news. When are you getting it?

I'm stuck for a case at the moment but will wait until official ones are out.

Of course not... like the Galaxy Tab 10.1, it will be announced in October but come out in March 2012, if not later.

They'll show it at CES or later.

My girlfriend is picking mine up today from Best Buy. What do I need to get her to check?

At least power it up as it should have some juice. It will go straight into setup mode and try to connect by WiFi. I'd get her to skip that and see if the main screen is ok and some of the apps load. You could get her to check that charging works. If she's not too techie I would leave it at that.

She isn't too techie, but she can do the basics and can follow instructions (unlike some women, lol). What screen test application would you guys recommend?

I've never used one just looked to see if it looks ok (bleeding, dead pixels).

My Samsung Book Case arrived today as well... can't wait till next week. Girlfriend mentioned that keyboard was a bit crap, so got her to get Thumb Keyboard and now she likes it. In her opinion it is better than she thought it would be.

I didn't want to risk travel without a case so took my old trusty baby Tab instead. Looks like I will have to order one from abroad.
