A fairly large thread revival but wanted to note my findings.
A week a go I managed to pick up a P6810 for a very good deal. I've been wanting to try one out for a good while, mostly for the premium feel and the lovely screen.
After a few days of using it with the official ICS install I found a couple annoying bugs with it. Majorly it was the fact the WiFi would drop out after 5-10 minutes of use which would mean I'd have to turn it off and on again. Rince and repeat. Another issue was charging. It'd take over 24 hours to go from 10% to 100% and that's with the tablet off.
Today I finally bit the bullet. I flashed CWM as the recovery boot loader. Rooted it and went on a hunt for a custom ROM. I decided on 4.4.2 Omni... Yup, KitKat on a Tab 7.7! And it runs like a dream! The only thing that wasn't working was GPS, but downloading a tool from the Playstore kicked it in to motion. All bugs have disappeared from the official release, and as an added bonus battery life has improved.
I'd recommend anyone who still has a 7.7 to look in to it. It's rejuvenated mine no end.

Interesting, if it's still all good in a week how about posting a few links, available roms are a nightmare to sort through.
Strange you have battery issues mine lasts about 4 weeks, I only use it about 10 mins a day and often leave it in flight mode, running JB now but the original rom was as good in standby.
