Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 Tablet

The hardware is starting to feel a little old though vs the recent quad cores. I still get a lot more lag than my Samsung Galaxy SIII. However, considering the hardware is effectively 2 years old, I guess that's no surprise.

Depends on how you use it I guess, mine is mainly used for videos and comics, with some gaming and browsing less frequently, and everything runs as fast and as easy as I could want it to. A menu showing up half a second sooner and scrolling through it being a bit smoother doesn't really matter to me, especially if having those meant sacrificing true black blacks. :D

Hi i would just like people here to know that apparently according to the thailand samsung jellybean update schedule that the tab 7.7 is going to recieve the android 4.1 jellybean update 'soon'.

link here

Apparently a samsuung representative confirmed to someone on the xda forums that the update is coming but with no firm release date for it yet.

This seems like a good confirmation that the update is incoming although not 100% because samsung's relationship with android updates is flakey at best but this is looking like good news.

Rejoice 7.7 owners and future prospective buyers :D

A bit off topic from the jellybean news but i wonder if we will ever truly have a 7.7 successor, seeing as the 7.7 had a European wide ban now,i don't think samsung is even allowed to design a tablet of such beauty like the 7.7 again :(

Will be interesting if the 7.7 note rumors are true, but even then i think it would be made out of plastic like every other samsung device except the 7.7,i think the 7.7 is going to be a one off from the samsung tab line, dam apple and there stupid 'copy cat' lawsuits.

Sleek sophisticated design should not be patenable, and tim cook criticizes patents as holding back innovation when apple are the ones pushing patent lawsuits out left right and center!

rant over /

I gave both my lads the option of selling their 3g SGT 7.7's and buying a N7 or N10 and pocketing the difference, a tidy sum to them, neither wanted to take the option, so that's a decent endorsement of a product.
