*** Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 5G Thread***

After using the Note 20 Ultra and Fold 2 cameras for a few hundred shots each I much prefer the Fold 2. It's a really easy shooter and editing photos on the inner screen is amazing.
That sounds good I just sold my note 20 ultra and am expecting the fold 2 on monday, really excited to get it!! defo getting insurance though as no case I will have a heart attack if it gets lost/smashed/stolen.

I thought the Note 20U at least partially resolved the focus issue with its laser autofocus sensor. I’ve seen a side by side YouTube video where the Note 20U was focusing much faster than the S20U. Maybe it was a Tom the tech chap video from memory.

It's still one of the best camera phones out there and I think just the nature of these early 108mp shooters.

S20 ultra , Mi 10 etc.

If you can test one out maybe, decide for yourself if the focus is an issue.

It's coming tomorrow, I'm so excited, ever since I was 10 or 11 (47 now) I'd always dreamt of seeing a folding display and to actually have one is absolutely amazing

:D

I absolutely love what they’ve done with the Fold 2 and in a way I’m glad it doesn’t fit my usage. I’ve got the cash for one, but would feel guilty spending so much money (I’m also 47) with mouths/wife/children to feed.

Did it arrive? We need details :)
haha it did, I've only just finished setting it all up and transferring everything over from my note 20 ultra.

Takes a bit of getting used to, but I absolutely love it. Such a premium feeling piece of tech, so heavy as well. I have ordered a samsung leather case for it which is coming tomorrow but I am definitely gonna get mobile insurance with O2 though which covers everything as i'd be gutted if something happened to it.

Going to take some time to get everything how I like it though on the home screen, what is everyone using as a music player?

The Samsung Leather cover doesn't offer much protection, it only covers the back. Falling out of pockets seem to the most common way people damaging their phones. I always make sure I put it in a deep pocket or one that has a zip, otherwise just sitting down could cause it to slide out.

Yes I know I realise that it won't offer protection for the front screen but at least it's something, the phone feels really slippery without a case, but yes I am being very careful about where I put it, not in the back pocket of my jeans!!!

Honestly, could PDP be any more useless?

Phone was supposed to arrive Monday but went back to depot. Fair enough, these things happen and with traffic especially, drivers can run out of hours. The chat bot on the PDP app says it'll be delivered the next day, Tuesday. Nothing turns up and the app still says it's at the depot so I speak to a human and they upgrade the delivery to a 8.30 to 10.30 slot today.

Guess what? Still no phone and it's still saying it's at a depot (although after the upgrade it moved to a closer depot than the one on Monday & Tuesday).

They believe it's on a van and not at the depot and sometimes drivers don't scan all the packages onto the van when there's a lot of parcels.

To be honest I'm not best pleased with Samsung. They're the ones sending a near about £2K phone via PDP 2-3 delivery, why they can't send via RoyalMail I don't know.
