*** Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 5G Thread***

Taken my screen protector off today on the inner screen. It was just starting to be noticeable round the pin hole camera. It is a big improvement without it.

Nope, no case. It's extremely weird as if I test my fingerprints in the biometrics settings section, it'll register which of the four prints it is 9/10 and the 10th time is an angle which isn't natural/one I tried to store.

I've turned on the 'Fingerprint always on" setting and that has improved things but hasn't completely solved it. I'll get a vibration that tells me the print wasn't recognised and again, I can barely lift my finger off in order to replace it in the same position on the sensor and it'll work.
That's wierd mine is actually really good and soooooo fast compared to the note 20 ultra

Not in a rush to take the front or the main protector off to be honest, no issues with either at the moment so don't feel the need. Definitely need some kind of case though, cover is definitely delaying 3rd party arrivals.

On a side note, more I use it the more I appreciate how good it is. :)

There has been some horror stories, with one person sending in a phone and not meeting their criteria, was given an option to pay the outstanding amount or return the Fold 2. I think another was the IMEI number didn't match the device (Fold 1) received so they were returning it but the concerning part was Samsung was referring to the received device in a generic name and not a Fold 1, so the person was worried there was a mix up and will be sent back a totally different device.

Got the email from Samsung this morning confirming that the trade-in is complete - they gave me £745 for my note 10+. £1054 is still a hell of a lot for a phone but it feels like a hell of a bargain :D

Is it churlish to say that I'm actually missing my note 10?

Glad it all went smoothly. I kind of miss my OnePlus 7 Pro, one of the best phone I ever owned...so totally understand.

I had my note 4 for like 7 years. Definitely don't miss it lol.

Still have my Note 4 - I actually will miss it unless something comes along which improves on the areas it is flawed - it does many other things well.

Battery life just isn't holding up these days like it used to and I'm curious as to why - from messing about it seems more software* related than hardware or battery (I've got 3 different batteries in use for it of differing age and wear level including the stock battery which I've trashed pretty hard and newer replacement Anker and Ravpower ones and all give pretty much identical battery life which makes me go hmmmm - the Anker battery tests way better than the other two as well externally so should in theory give around 20-30% better battery life).

* By that I don't mean what is running on it day to day so to speak as I've eliminated that from the equation - it is hard to shake the idea of some kind of planned obsolescence from the behaviour but impossible to prove either.

Really happy with the look of this new case I picked up. Covers front and back compared to the Aramid case and costs a fraction of the price. Still loving this phone.

These are really fancy, does anyone who uses it in a "working" environment have concern about the "soft" screen though ? that was one of the things that put me off, no gorilla glass here, easy to mark and scratch etc. But I guess if you close them when you aren't actively using them then you wont have that problem...
