Can you please tell your settings?

Lol i have messed about SOOOOO much with the settings, i have buggered about with the settings on the monitor itself and in Nvidia control panel.

Im using Eco saving mode on minimum ( which disables brightness setting)
contrast 75
Gamma mode 3

In Nvidia CP brightness 32 and turned up digital vibrance a couple of %

Say would anyone be interested in lending me a monitor calibrator :) a £100 sure seems like a lot of money to change a few settings for just 1 monitor

why you need one? will you do professional work? ;)

No not at all but it seems from reading all these posts that in order to be happy with the colours on this monitor it needs to be calibrated correctly even though ive never used 1 before im sure it cant be difficult and tbh im sure i could purchase 1 from amazon and return it ;)

Been waiting 2 days to ask, so my "ban" had finished, apparently i wrote the first letter of a bad word without using a *

I think a calibrator is worth it but I've used mine on my monitor...my TV n friends n family's as well so it's worth the money. Spending 100 on a calibrator for a £800 monitor and £2500 TV is worth it to get the best possible picture quality out of them. It's an enthusiast thing of course but we're all buying a £800 monitor here lol. Plus every future monitor and TV you buy you can use it on.

Also eggcup I can see the red tint on yours too at the sides so it seems that it's on all of them.

Too hell with this - I'm going to order a Datacolor Spyder4 Express tomorrow.. I just can't get this thing right, even with eye. Samsung have a 30 day window where you can cancel your contract.....so fingers crossed I can evaluate this panel before I throw in the towel.

lol The colours are beautiful once you get them perfect. For me it looks as good as the LG did apart from the red tint as the LG was completely uniform to the eyes. Im sure you can see the red tint on skarpinis's picture about aswell since hes zoomed right in its even clearer. Its kind of like a dirty screen effect but its red.

There is no red tint on my screen whatsoever Matson - it's completely even from left to right unless I over blow the colours. I'm kind of thinking right now that the blacks are too black (in a truly uninformed capacity) and that is where my problems lie.

Are you able to take a pic on a completely white background?
I love this monitor but for the price seeing a red tint is annoying me a little. I was playing borderlands on the snow level and in the center the snow was white but at the sides it was a whitish red lol. Its only a little thing but for the price of these monitors I don't know yet if I can accept that.
