Samsung LS34E790C - Curved 34" 21:9 super-wide

I believe you but id still have to see it for myself. Skar said the same andI could see it bright as day. Im thinking maybe all of these screens may have a dirty screen effect in the form of a tint. Id love to be wrong of course but I really want to be sure before I would send mine back so any other people who have this monitor if they could post a pic of a pure white screen id be very gratefull.

I've taken photos of BLB and they have wildly exaggerated the effect, even though in RL the problem was actually there. @Matson - please believe me when I say mine's is pure white across the board. I thought I was the one who was a bit sniffy about this monitor...... :) Don't get me wrong everybody -- this monitor is great for the most part. The biggest criticism I have of this monitor is that it's a serious bitch to calibrate, and for me, personally I lay this at the door of it's much vaunted deep blacks.

This thread has had almost 34000 views - I just wish more users would pipe up about their experiences with this monitor.

what would be a good, recommended calibration tool to use ?

also browsing my monitor feels fine, gaming and moves its a little dark, do owners switch between profiles in the osd game mode on for gaming and in magic bright for cinema mode ?

My monitor has the slight pinkish tinge to the sides (and I mean 'slight'). It doesn't bother me at all. I think this is down to a slight brightness fall off from center to sides but it isn't noticeable except on a pure white screen and then you have to look for it. Just stop looking for it! :)

My monitor is calibrated with all default settings and brightness at 19.
Oh, and I have Gamma Mode 1 set as I saw a Samsung techie post on a support site that they set that for Gamma 2.2

i can see a pinkish tint if i close one eye, squint and tilt my head to the right so im not botherd by it in the slightest, i find gamma mode 3 works best for me and i have the brightness at 50 but lower it in amd ccc control panel to my liking, i do it that way as it feels as if i have more control and no negetive impact on the colours

lol its one of those annoying things.. once you see it you cant stop yourself seeing it O_O.
There is about a 300k drop in colour temp at the sides compared to the center. I even tried calibrating the part which has the tint to see if I could get rid of it but it was still there.

I agree cant stop seeing dead pixel or stuck and little glow on sides once I spot it :(

I have a problem where I leave the power on, it goes into standby and then when I go to use it the next day all my settings have changed? Anyone else have this or have a way around it? (100% brightness etc)

Never have problems, maybe try play with off timer in settings...?
