Sandy Bridge Reviews

These chips overclock very well. Both my Core i5-2500K and Core i7-2600K hit ~4.4GHz, fully stable, using the stock low-profile cooler.

sweeeeet. and that stock heatsink is what, an inch tall? someone get me something bigger on one and hurry up about it!

The Sandy isn't a complete replacement of the 1156... I'm sure they'll still be around for a while yet.

It will probably take about 6 months to dump all of the old gear from the channel, I know H55 is a little cheaper than H67 at the moment and there are some backend rebates on Core i3.

Well that put pay to all that FUD that was floating around a few months ago as Sandy Bridge looks like another winner for Intel. Speaking of which I do worry for AMD as they have a huge amount of ground to make up.

So how many of you are going for the 2500k ? i still cant decide my self really the only thing that swings me towards the 2500k is the saving of about £100.

I'm not really an overclocker so I think the i7-2600 will do. Depends on price of course, might go for one of the low-power versions if they're priced competitively.
