SAPPHIRE 5870 VAPOR X, SAPPHIRE 5850 & SAPPHIRE DISPLAY PORT ADAPTER

i ordered a 5870 yesterday finally decided that Fermi is going to be out of my budget/temp/power range so im going for it!

Cant wait till it arrives also :)
 
so as these are the rev 2 versions are they 875 clock as opposed to the 870 advertised? just reading a review of the rev 2 as i had no idea about it till reading this just now and they said the core clocks been upped :o ive got one being delivered the begining of the week so it'd be nice to know :)

heres the review im reading, says the rev 2 runs a bit hotter and a bit louder @ idle but quieter under load

From what i have read it seems they changed the PCB from black to blue and the voltage regulators are different (over voltage not possible at this time) but they have had it stable at 940/2700 which is pretty good, overall still a good card for the price and the cooling is way better than stock.

hhm, ive been reading some other stuff and i think general concensus is that the revision isnt for any performance gain.. just to make manufacture cheaper, also their not shipping it with 2 games, now you only get dirt2
 
Hmmm....luckily black and blue are the theme colours of my system so I'll be happy either way.

From the sounds of things I'd prefer the revision 1 though, I like the connectors on the side.
 
the more i read the more i want rev 1 :(
starting to think over-volting is not possable on these rev 2 cards due to cheaper parts being used, does that mean their more prone to blowing up when tweeked so they have locked over volting?
i would still have bought this card if i knew about the rev 2 before i started. but having only found out about there being a rev 2 after ordering one but before it being delivered it seems to have taken the shine off it for me.
hope somone can give some positive news about the rev 2 other than what appears to be cheaper parts being used and 1 game being lost from the bundle. sure its quieter under load but its also hotter, which just means the fan speed has been set lower.
plz somone give meh some nice news about the rev 2 :/
 
Mine arrived from Ockrs last tue. SKU 21106-03 is the original ver and SKU 11106-03 the current version = blue and with Dirt game etc. This is the ver that Ockrs supplied. Unfortunately on Ockrs website it has no reference to an SKU code. Despite me ringing to ask, no one was prepared to find out which ver they would ship. In the end I took a punt and recieved the ver I wanted anyway. Very happy with it.
