just a standard charge to send back ..and thats why i will stay with sapphire ..your only charged if your card is over a yr old

Sounds odd to me, surely if they had a 18 month warranty you would be charged after 18 months. :confused:

I take it there is no way of making these run on a AGP slot? some kind of slot converter ? im not ready to upgrade my mobo yet but this card is temping

to put it simple ..
yr 1 full parts and labour
yr2 you pay standard charge to have it fixed ..
yr 3 you throw in bin if it's gone bad

Ah right I see, so they still replaced your card regardless of the bios but you had to pay as it was older than 1 year. Got ya, although you could have explained it better at the start! It was not very clear.

can anyone give me detailed info on just how much better (if any) this would be compared to the 6800NU 128mb standard DDR on AGP as im looking for a new card, some have said it will be far better than my current, others have said its not better in the slightest... so what do i believe ?

AGP? Are you going to be buying a PCI-E motherboard for the GTO2 if you get one? :confused:

. Anyways, in reviews the GTO2 (at stock) is just under a 6800GT, unlocking the extra 4 pipes allows it to match and in some cases beat a 6800GT. If it overclocked well it would almost certainly beat any stock 6800. So yes, it's much better than a 6800NU.

Well to be honest I never trust 3dmark to give an accurate idication of FPS in games. He might well have had a top line/overclocked processor/graphics card and tuned his setup for 3dmark, which will do very little in games.

well as far as i can see the only way to get 4700 from 3dmark 05 on a 6800NU 128mb is to alter all the 3d settings to performance overclock it to hell and unlock the pipes...

yeah, no chance he got 4700 at anything near stock... even @ ultra core and 870mhz mem i only get a couple hundred over 11k in 03 and 4200 in 05 (thats 12p 5v btw) that was also tweaked to only have about 15 background programs
