SAPPHIRE RX 480 NITRO NOW AVAILABLE FOR PRE-ORDER AT OVERCLOCKERS UK (WORLD FIRST) !!!

Any clues when reviews for any AIB cards are likely to show up?
I'd be happy with a consistent 1400mhz which seems very plausible. This is the first card I would ever call "good looking" so I think i'll be happy when it comes.

Well if the stock OC out the box is 1350, if you can get a 5% OC that will put you at around 1415mhz or something?

Im interested to see if this AMD patch interacts with this card at all, especially if they have redesigned the power distribution on the card etc? will it gimp the card somewhat? will be interesting to see what happens..

It says 22nd of July so unless it's NDA'd yet again someone should get a sample within a week or so? Bulk shipping takes like a month on a container ship IIRC, that means they exist and can be express shipped to reviewers.

I think we will see early reviews next week as well, with a ship date the week after. The AIB board partners will want to ship as soon as they can with the current excitement around the 6pin connector and PCIE power draw. Especially if they can keep the price point low and continue to offer CF support.

The 1060 launching soon will ensure they ship quickly...

Excited to see this card in the flesh, might order a 2nd to try CF :) Now anyone have any good free-sync 4k IPS screens you can recommend?

Pre-ordered one. :)

Even it turns out to be a disappointment for most people, for me it still represents a solid upgrade to the old 7950 at a price I do not mind paying. I'm maximising my utility. Then if it is better than expected? Bob is your mothers brother.

Price, energy consumption, temperature, performance. All boxes are pretty much ticked in my book.

Just put my money down from one of these, I almost bought the reference, but the lack of OC and poor cooling put me off.

I'm coming from a GTX960 so I think I would have been happy with reference but I'm ok for paying a bit more for the added icing on top. Looking forward to getting BF1 Dx12 running on this thing soon.

As some with a GTX960, who bought a ref rx480 and had trouble with crashing and cooling (having returned it this morning) I think you've done well to hold off.
I'm interested in the card if the power and cooling is sorted.

yes i've heard a lot about crashing which worries me but there's a couple of weeks to go so hopefully AMD can sort it out by then. I can always return it as you did if its not quite up to scratch.

I'll hold onto my GTX960 for a bit before selling it just in case.

Patience you must have. ;)
