SAPPHIRE RX 480 NITRO NOW AVAILABLE FOR PRE-ORDER AT OVERCLOCKERS UK (WORLD FIRST) !!!

Since you both ordered way back on the 7th I suspect that my girlfriend and I could be in for a long wait:(

If AMD have gotten their act together and given sapphire a decent amount of cards to ship your wait mightnt be massive. I'd imagine a lot of the pre-orders were early rather than late, and it looks like quite a few people who have cancelled orders because of the wait. You could always drop a webnote and ask where your position in the que is. I thought Id have had my card a week ago but I'm hoping it'll be worth the wait!

Edit: my order was for the 8GB OC, on the 7th of July. I'd be panic-posting a lot less if it was the 7th of August :p

I have asked twice where my place is in the cue is :
1st time 183
2nd time its something 350 or something like that

The explanation I got was that the difference was due to
the date (24th) I ordered and that other orders prior to mine, either swapped out to the Nitro+ OC from something else or added it to their order.

WTF, ...Eh?

If your on the preorder list for a gpu, you shouldn't lose your place because someone else who ordered a different gpu or had an earlier order, then wants to change to or add a Nitro+ OC.

Neverless, I still not going to budge unless there is a surprise RX 490 announcement

Oh joy, I was forced to cancel my first order as i needed to re-order to change address.

Went from ordering 5mins after it went up to end of July =(

I'm about 400 in queue

Seems people are getting different excuses..

i got told that i dropped places due to a large business order that they hadn't factored in.

Ridiculous.

The reference card pricing is really baking my noodle atm. Some cards are almost the same as launch, some are £10 or even £20 more. But why is the Sapphire reference card currently £40 more than the launch price?

Yeesh, the Sapphire reference card is currently higher than what I paid for my Nitro pre-order. I guess if things don't look up by next week Im ordering a 1060.

Yeah I think the 4GB cards showed up in similar numbers early on, but the demand for the 8gb pre-orders were huge so the wait was much longer. I have not reason for ordering the 8GB beyond potential future proofing, I don't plan on updating my card for another few years at least. Hell, the only reason Im buying a 480 is because my 270x died just before the 480 announcement came. I dont really keep up to date with new releases and Ive always been in the mid to low card range. I just happened to be in the market for a new card, and this is still the most I;ve spend on a GPU by about £80. My only hope in the next year is to update to the cheaper 21:9 LG freesync monitors. then I'll be on the pigs back

I'm planning on going with one of the same ones, the nice IPS ones with 40-75Hz Freesync range. 24" for me I think.

I've heard nothing but fantastic things about adaptive sync in general. Nvidia cards coupled with gsync prices are practically insane to me though. Coming off my current 21.5" 1080p monitor, a nice freesync 21:9 will be like christmas for me. Well, it might well actually be christmas for me, cause I couldnt buy a new GPU and a monitor all at once, me and the missus have more important things at the minute :D
