Powercolor has a better running cooler at the moment, nitro+ is running a bit hotter and maybe louder than the other ones. The nitro + OC is a binned card confirmed though so will have a better chance of higher overclocks, and slightly better out of the box. If you aren't talking about the OC then Powercolor is likely a better choice, since the non OC versions are likely to be ones that couldn't make the cut to be OC versions.

I don't think the power color will fit in my case with my tubing and the sapphire is pretty sexy looking.

The other reviews I saw showed quite good overclocks on the the 4GB, around 1400Mhz and 1950Mhz, while the 8GB version didn't get to 1400. I'm pretty excited to see what my 8GB OC can do, hoping 1400+/2200+.

Also is there anything else I should be doing in preparation? My last card was a Geforce 2 many moons ago
