We may as well echo dowie's term and just say urban youth. Nobody was willing to define what that meant either.

To be an urban youth you are somewhere 15-30, use slang heavily and act like an idiot. You make money either through crime, or on benefits, or living off parents or a string of jobs the job center finds for you etc.
 
So it seems she got in the way of a bullet when four black gang bangers shot up a party. BLM didn't seem to matter much to them.

It's a flawed way of thinking about the situation as there's no evidence to suggest those men paid any attention to that movement. I doubt these gangsters give a toss about social and political movements that in the long run are meant to drive violence out of their communities. How are they going to control people otherwise?

Contrary to popular belief, empathy is based purely on intelligence, not emotion. You cant hide emotions from me. Keep that in mind when dealing with psychopaths.

Just keep sticking your head in the sand. There’s a blatant and obvious connection between the glamorisation of gangs and violence through drill music, their worldview and the resulting physical act.

There's one person here who genuinely does not believe in what we refer to as multiculturalism, and he/she is very open about it.

Show me one person here who has said, "I don't support BLM" who means they don't think the lives of black people matter.

As long as I need to do what? Call out a racist and get banned? Yeah right.

I got a thread ban for saying Nigel Farage was a racist and as far as I know Nigel isnt even a member here to be able to report me for it.

It's certainly confusing that a lot of music videos don't portray gang violence as abhorrent, but either as perfectly normal or, as you say, in a glamourised manner.

When reporting on armed conflicts, journalists tend to show the horror of the aftermath, blood everywhere, people screaming, buildings destroyed.

However you won't see that in recruitment videos for the armed services. Instead, you'll see sailors grinning on an aircraft carrier, or a bunch of commandos silently moving around a jungle, a bloke skiiing down a snow-covered mountain, or a girl fixing a helicopter. That is to say, highlight the positive, not the negative (understandably - it's a recruitment video!)

The kind of music videos we are both referring to show gang violence more like a recruitment video than anything else.

^^^ this is part of the problem in the discourse, this sort of binary thinking is especially silly, it's just straight up faulty logic.

Highlighting that a problem is more prominent in a particular area or with a particular group does not imply the problem is non-existent in other groups.

You end up with people like chroniclard (Tony Edwards is another one) who seemingly can't process basic statements and assume people are being "racist" etc..
