In your car Bug One, it'd take what... like an hour :D

Seriously though, Mike and Sam are coming up from Southampton. You could all meet up somewhere and convoy here.
On an open road, you're probably right. Sadly it doesn't matter how fast your car can go, you're only gonna go as fast as the person sitting in the fast lane in front of you.

So you're getting a 220 then. I used to have one of them, although mine was a bit more rounded. I had the car for 4 years, and I was always after more power, although to give it its dues, it was good off the line, and with the few mods I did, it did pull very well from low down. Instant power. Unlike my car now which is **** poor..... until the turbo kicks in. I had a Gtec, and used to spend hours practicing launching. I managed to get a 7.16.

I thought I did a pretty good job making the old girl to make it look pretty mean. Not to everyones tastes mind. My problem was this 50 year old lady at work also had one, so I wanted to be able to make it looks a bit more aggressive. I was always looking for a way to duct cold air into the K&N, and in the end I just decided to cut a hole in the bonnet.

I colour coded as much of the engine as possible. Made it all look a lot better.

And I got rid of all the wood! I was most happy with the interior of the car. Certainly looked a lot better than standard.

Can't beleive I sold the old girl for £450.

Out of interest, where did you get the aluminium bits from? and how much did it cost? cheers :)

Bug One, yep, pick up the 220 next weekend :) I see you mentioned that you were always after more power... I don't think I'll have a problem with that. I still enjoy driving the 214.

Went to Leeds on Tuesday... first time through tunnels. I always knew the K had its good points... that roar is awesome

I'm not normally keen on bonnet vents, but at least yours was functional. I like it. I think I might be tempted in doing a battery to boot conversion too. I didn't realise how cramped the 220's engine bay is, until I saw the car the other day.

Your interior does look great. I was always keen of the wood in the 214, but in the 220 I'm thinking of painting it either dark blue or body colour.

Also need to locate some Coupe bump strips

Oh, and 7.16 to 60... not bad at all!
