Last year was the same I was always one of the first, suspect as I was a customer a long time ago I have a very low customer number so get updated as one of the first.

The average use is definitely calculated over the previous 10 weekdays - just worked mine out and its spot on.

I totally missed this one tbh…..but i prob wouldnt have saved much as my avergae use between 4pm and 7pm is around 0.6kwhs.

Seeing that I forgot all about it, didn't do too badly. No export here so quite limited what we can even reduce anyway, other than cooking dinner a bit later. But not upset by the result.

WOW nice reef, im on Agile atm and charging up on the cheap, don't draw from grid between peak times unless dad ignores what I tell him and everyone explicity does high electricity usage when I have asked them not to, thankfully that has only happened once.
Said yesterday to dad that I topped up on the cheap in the morning and since it was crap day try to go easy on electricity, had his laser cutter that takes 800-1500w (min-max) for 6 hours.............

You have a battery, you set to export, you get £2.25 per kwh exported

I tried finding details on the whole session thing on octopus site but it is severely lacking.

Normally one of us will bump this thread when a session is announced.
The more of us that monitor and post up the better, especially if as they say we get some short notice events this year.
You can sign up from the website or app even without the email.
If your exporting your baseline is the last 10 days import less export. And then your in day calculation is vs that. So if you export say 1kwh on average in the window of saving session then you start with -1.

hhmmmm, what if I don't export, not done so really for a while.
Got mine in, exactly 2 KWh for £4.50, think I exported a little more but think I had a day or so about 10 days previously when I was still force exporting a bit that probably affected my average slightly. Should be able to export about 3KWh in an hour, but only if I turn just about everything off, so probably not worth it, unless I'm out or something!
