Saving Sessions / Demand reduction thread

I do agree in regards batteries being misleading, mine quote Total energy 12.3kWh, Useable 11kWh*, Rated Capacity 30A, Nominal power 10.2kW, Max power 12.2kW

No idea what the nominal and max are.

* test conditions 90%DOD, 0.2C charger & discharger @ 25c

Also not sure what the 0.2C charger & discharger means

@ronski, every saving session we had last year was between 5-7pm so I think you will be fine
The question is more about amount IMO. If we only see a few then they wont support making changes. But if as I suspect we will see 10+ then they will :)

Saving Sessions Title

Use less power tomorrow for 1 hour 30 minutes between 16:30 - 18:00

Opt in now to earn 3200 Octopoints - worth £4.00 - for every unit of power you save.

CHARGE!!!

EDIT
oh no, yesterday will count towards my 10 day average, is there somewhere on the octopus site to see average for last 10 days, if so then I exported just under 7.5 yesterday.

Yesterday doesn't count, its the last 10 week days usage excluding saving session days, for a weekday saving session
Its the last 4 weekend days for a weekend saving session

My cells are 280ah cells, 1c would be 280A, so 0.2c would be 280 x 0.2 = 56A. Not sure how it would work if you had cells in parallel within a single battery, but as I've got two batteries the current roughly divides equally, so when I'm charging with 140A, thats 70A per battery, or 0.25c.

Saving session days are not included. You can download your import and export data from the website, you then need to extract the data that would be included, and do the relevant calculations.

Its the last 4 days for a weekend saving session

Is that the last 4 weekend days?

What does the 0.2c stand for? Is it current?

Sorry I edited my post. Yeah week and weekend sessions effectively draw from the last X days, but have their own pools to draw from which is either the last weekdays or the last weekend days.
Its basically the last two weeks, unless there has been a savings session.

Awesome thanks.

So thats really interesting. Part of the marketing guff about these batteries is their fast charge time. Its 1 hour for 1 as they charge at 5.5kw
"Fast battery charging speed
SolaX has considered all kinds of circumstances for their users, like areas, temperatures, and special situations. It only takes one hour to fully charge the Triple Power Battery 3.0 battery/T-BAT 3.0. The fast-charging feature is especially useful when a scheduled blackout is going to happen, or as the sun setting down soon."

But that test they are taking 5 hours.
I thought I had heard before that a more steady lower rate is better.
So that means again likely they have adopted a test approach that doesn't match the real world position!

Earnt £12 on yesterdays session. Luckily axle have upped it to £4.20 per kwh for the session omorrow as otherwise was gonna go back to octopus
Nice, last someone mentioned on the GE forums yesterday they had a £3 cap

Edit
Correction, was this morning it was mentioned, looks like they have beat Octopus this time round.

Is it also just your electric that's stopped updating, or gas as well?

Although the app shows my imports, the website doesn't, and when I download import data that also only goes up to midnight on the 24 November.

I think the import data in the app may be from the Octopus Mini.
Just electric, gas still works fine which is very annoying.
