Saving Sessions / Demand reduction thread

Actually I wonder if as long as they can see what you export it would still count. Without an export tariff though they probably don't fetch these readings.

If there's one tomorrow I might try export for a few minutes and see. My system is quite well balanced with my usage, so exporting too much would just lead to me having to buy power back later at the peak rate.

I'm going to be buying from the grid shortly at 28.1p versus the circa £2.53 per kWh I got for exporting in the saving session.

From 7:30 onwards I've been on 7.5p. It's been an interesting day juggling everything. Last month I managed to prove all the gamification is worth it.

My parents (on octopus standard) used ~350kwh's and their electric bill was ~£110.

I pulled 1130kwh's from the grid but only paid £80 for my electric.

I suspect no more.
Weather is pretty bad so wind based renewables will be pretty high on gen.
Industry etc will start shutting down so demand will start to drop.

I noticed this morning the price of electricity on the National Grid website was -£60 per MWh and even now is only £14.32, with wind providing nearly 55% of the national demand.

When the saving session data is available for the 14th I'll let you know, I exported .5kwh just to see if it registers with them, all saving sessions I usually get 8 points, I use nothing in the session window.
The SMET2 meter registered the export.

We will see!. (Octopus GO Tariff)

Already tried it, but nothing is recorded without an export tariff :(

The app just updated my SS figures for yesterday.

Now for Octopus to catch up, they're still processing the 12/12

Says I managed to export 4.01kW and my baseline is -0.03kW, saving 3.98kW which earns 7160 rewards worth £8.95.

I got home from work a little late, so didn't start discharging until about 17:10.
