Saving Sessions / Demand reduction thread

I gave them 2kwh. I need most of my charge to get to 12:30.
My usage is slowly coming down though as my chia farm shrinks and I sell the drives.

Set my export rate to 3kw at 6:20pm

In sad news my Octopus balance has dropped to £30odd so unless I can make bank over the summer then I am going to have to start paying a sensible amount next winter.
I have been paying £20 by DD since last year.
Less powerups, less free sessions, naff all for saving sessions all hitting my balance.

Will be checking agile out again mid March.

Ouch. I took £500 out at the end of last summer, over the winter i've been eating away at what was left. We're out of the woods now though. February cost me £8 of the balance.

I can export from the batteries at 8kW, I should have gone for the 12kW inverter, but it was just so much more expensive back then, its now a bit cheaper than what I paid for the 8kW version, but that's the way things go.

We pay in £50 a month, last time I took money out was summer 2023 and that was £500, we've got just over £500 balance now, and that's only going to increase. Flux was quite expensive to stay on, and we were using about £700 of gas a year, now we're on IOG and gas is going we will do even better.

The systems currently exporting at just over 2kW and it will do that until 23:25, currently exported 45.25 kWh today, so we will exceed 50 kWh exported.

i went into negative 400 this winter as i knew i was adding more panels this year. So last month i set a 100 month DD which will get me back into credit over the next few months along with export and can start building the credit for next winter. will drop the DD down to a regular £20 a month then.

we use a lot of gas due to disabled partner needing to keep warm.

Exported 4kwh in the session today and 21 overall today. I'll be negative on my costs today.

I've done about £16 on in Octopoints this year vs £33 last year, its defo gone down - a lot.

At my peak in at the end of October we had £1,138 in the Octopus account, we are down to £871 and I am only paying £20/month. That means from then until now we have burnt through £329 in credit. Feb cost about £69 which still neds to come off. I think March will be negative so I'm pretty confident I can withdraw £800.

I need pay for my heat pump service plan from April (1 year free) which is £9 month so I have added an extra £50 into the credit target. So I need to build up about £450 over the summer to cover me to next March which is easily doable based on this year.

Looks like I will be negative on my energy bills going forward now I have the heat pump in. That includes house, heating, EV (no ICE cars) and servicing of the heat pump system. That wouldn't have been possible on the gas boiler and is why I was not negative in 2024 (only £100 cost mind...).

7.35kWh exported, that's another 95p + £1.10 for export, total £2.05 for the hour.

£15.79 in saving sessions so far this winter, nothing like last year, but considering I'd be exporting anyway its certainly worth having.

Not interested again in todays prices.

I think you'll be saying that for a long time, although I wonder if this winter is about seeing how much they can get with such a low prices offered, perhaps we'll see a middle ground next winter.
