Well, I want one. :)

I'm not a chav, but i've always liked them. They don't seem much dearer than a Fiesta 1.25 Zetec to buy and insure.

I rang quinn direct today and they gave me quote of £1450 TPFT PP which is £100 dearer than the Fiesta.

I am going tomorrow to see a 99V Blue VTR totally unmodified with FSH 55k miles (£1800)..........anything I should look out for? If it has lexus lights i'm walking away lol. I want something fun to drive...........right car?

I have a posidoen blue 02 VTR, as far as i am aware there isnt any difference in the suspension setup, or if there is it is not a massive difference. :)

Nice to see it not chavved up!! Would be wanting to keep mine like that!

Just seen a Silver one on AT for £2495.........it's a Y Reg.

If I could pick one up for £2300 i'd buy it, as long as it was nice to drive!!!

Well put it like this, I want it to stay standard, may lower it but i'm not tinting the windows, putting on new alloys etc.

I want to keep it at least 1 yr even 2 years.

The interior in the MK2 looks a lot better!!!

I've got a slight problem :(

Insurance on the MK1 £1450
" " " MK2 £1750

Thats £150 a month on insurance for the MK2 :(

If people are struggling to sell them.............can you knock them down?

I'm having problems with the Insurance.

I'm putting my DOB in as 15/05/1988 as I want to see the difference in quotes between 17/18.

I can't get anything lower than £1600 TPFT with PP, I live in a 1B category area so it's not that it's a ruff area or anything.

Is it worth me ringing these companies or is the website giving accurate quotes.

Tesco-Don't Want To Know
Direct Line-Don't Want To Know
Bell- £2000+
Admiral £2000+
Norwich Union £2000+
Quinn-Direct £1600

I've already passed and have been driving my mums new mini 1 for the last 6 months.

It makes a difference (£400) if I say I have name drivers experience.

How the hell do I proove this?

Can't your mum ring her insurance company, getting them to send a letter saying that you have been on her policy for x number of months?

Well yeh, but i'm sure I have to clearly state i've driven the car for 1 year. If that includes provisional, then i'd be fine because I was put on the insurance in September.
