Say yes to correct spelling and grammar, or get stabbed. I like it.
Could be on to a winner there tbh
Say yes to correct spelling and grammar, or get stabbed. I like it.
I'd like to try it (saying yes to everything; not stab those with poor grammar )

Was that a student canonball type thing? I'd love to give something like that a go. Difficult trying to find other people and a good reason though. Not that I need a reason, but other people seem to
I've been trying to do more and more things, I realised the only things I really regret are the things I didn't do.
I actually had the best summer of my life this year because I said yes to something because I knew it was the kind of thing I'd normally avoid.
Can I have your computer?
And keep it?
Then borrow a few grand?
I don't own a computer
You can borrow a few grand, but I charge 100% interest
Seriously, every time someone has done something which makes you think "Darn cool, wish I could do that!" - have a good think about what in hell is stopping you.
Like, I also sail on a 650T tall ship once or twice every couple of years - I climb the rigging, join the engineers doing their rounds of all the machinery below deck, show other people the ropes (literally), fix stuff, scrub stuff, sing dodgy shanties and generally have a fantastic time while killing myself physically.
--> People look at me when they don't know me well enough to have already heard about this and tell me they think it's amazing, and ask me how I got into it. I'm like "Meh, I booked myself on a voyage knowing absolutely nothing in 2005". It's really not that hard to just go do stuff. Same with the rally (someone else had sorted the entry and stuff, just wanted an extra team member. Why the hell not? thought I).
The latest big thing has been my cycling to work - it's 8 miles each way. It's not a huge amount, but to begin with it was "too far" for me to even contemplate. Eventually I came round to the idea that surely the people who /do/ commute that kind of distance daily can't be magicians, they must have got fit by /doing/, right? So I got a new bike on the Cyclescheme and just got on with it. It hurt to begin with but I'm so much stronger and fitter now.
It only takes a little courage to make the snap decision - but once it's done just get on with enjoying it all! DO it do it do it!
[Carl Allen pulls up in a parking lot and opens the door. Cans of Red Bull pour out.]
Carl Allen: [speaking fast] "WOoooo. I've never had a Red Bull before, but I had a Red Bull last night. I really like Red Bull."
Renee Allison: "Yeah, you seem a little hyper."
Carl Allen: "Hey! After we chat we should get a red bull!"
Renee Allison: "OK, that'd be really fu...."
Carl Allen: "Red Bull!"
Renee Allison: "That sounds..."
Carl Allen: "Red Bull!"
Renee Allison: "I think I'd really..."
Carl Allen: "Redda Bulla!"
Im allways making excuses, i definatly think if i wasnt such a shy person id have so much more fun, the film was funny i thought , the bit where he has a all nighter on red bull lol!
Currently watching "Yes Man" and I think it's a really good film to think about.
Basically the main character says No to basically everything until he goes to a conference on saying Yes to opportunities. Once he starts saying Yes to things his life starts to turn around from being boring and lacking to interesting and full of life.
Just wondering if anyone has said No to things, which they have later regretted or if anyone has said Yes to a random opportunity and found their life has turned out for the better.
It's probably a good mindset to be in to not turn down opportunities and invitations and would probably help me and other people beat depression.
I always try and jump at opportunities that come up. I can't say I have any regrets yet.
