SC Clearance advice

SC is usually pretty easy to get. DV is when thing become a pain and it takes ages to go through, transfer it when you move jobs etc.

Don't even sweat this. I say this as someone who's worked with some proper dodgy characters that somehow had SC.

This, know people who's done some very stupid stuff and still got/kept it. Remember most of the military holds an sc, and some of their past isn't exactly rosey.

It's all about honesty than it is what you've done

A chap I used to work with had a pretty shady past and had been to borstel, entered witness protection with name change etc and he didn't have hardly any trouble getting SC (took about 3 months longer than mine), he even worked on the BAE contract at Brough for a while as well when it was granted.

I remember being told I couldn't have documents because it contained sensitive material whilst I was waiting.
Clearance was granted and it turns out the document had no sensitive information and didn't need to be classified and it was well known that individual simply was an *** for misclassifying their documentation.

You can still work whilst being spoon fed, but there will be aspects of your role that you cannot perform. Depends on the circumstances.
