First few levels of Doom3 - my arse was really going. After that it gets too predictable.

And playing Skyrim last night....was standing on a mountain admiring the view when a dragon roared above me....had the headphones on and it scared the crap out of me

(30 seconds later)
jesus ******* christ, oh god, oh man. phew!

i can see why so many people are saying FEAR is up there

ive just finished watching the video in my older post. around the 1 hour mark you are more right than you think

somewhere in the video the guy cries out for his mummy as well

AvP used to freak me out something crazy. Loved that game although I've not played it for quite a few years.

Doom 3 and FEAR have been more recent. I got pretty far in FEAR but haven't played it since losing my saved games. Can't bear to go through all of that again

I used to play it with headphones on in a dark room. It was horrible.

Sounds like Amnesia is the way to go though. Even though it's only £6.49 on the Steam store, it sounds like a waste of money if I don't get past the main menu

Some parts of STALKER made my bum clench a bit, wasn't expecting it to be a terribly scary game but some parts, the cut scenes mostly were a bit freaky.

Nothing beats Doom3 back in the days when I was much younger and ran it on my AGP 9800pro.

Demon Souls is another game that's not really scary but you have to stay aware especially knowing how easy it is to die.
