what was cryostasis actually like, i see it's on steam, is it worth buying?

I seen a preview on that it looks quite good, it like doom 3 plays with you a bit than they jump out at you.

graphics look good

To be honest I've never been 'scared' by a game. Too many horror movies I guess lol.
Sure, games have made me jump but never given me that real chill that runs down the spine.
Even with the lights off and headphones on lol (is that how everyone in this topic plays games? 'hold on.. scary bit coming up, gonna get me 'phones on and hit the lights. oh yeah! gigeddy gigeddy!')

Clive Barker's Undying: that was quite scary and even now watching the old footage it still gives me goosebumps. Not bad either for an old game.

System Shock 2 was actually freaky.

Also Bioshock.

Left 4 Dead.

Just like watching a horror movie in the dark really, it adds to the atmosphere, scares are just an added bonus....you tough guy you.

Play any game, that looks a little scary.

Play it in the dark, with headphones on.

Not really - bought it myself and don't like it much its the same throughout with very small rooms repeated over and over. Dull not scary
