Scary Games

Ok, I want to play a game that will scrae the wits out of my when I play alone in the dark. I've been there and done that with F.E.A.R 1&2 bbut now I'm getting bored of playing *Shock! Horror!* MW2, so I thought I'd look for another scary title. Any ideas?

I'd geat Dead Space.

Awesome game and just thinking about it makes me want to purchase it for PC and sit here later on with the lights off and the sound turned up.

I still rate Doom 3 as a good one for scary games

The 1st Aliens vs Predator when you hear that beep & there coming but where are they ?
Above you or below you in the dark ?
I am going to get Dead Space sometime as the screen shots look good.

I've completed Dead Space, great game play, but a bit anti-climatic I thought. Still worth playing though.

I was talking to my brother the other day about the original AvP and we both agreed it scared the bejeezus out of us... Might be worth digging it out at some point...

The gfx in Doom 3 are still good today so play that if u havent already.

FEAR 2 and Doom 3 i found the scariest. There's really too much ammo in AVP3 to ever get scared.

Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth
Condemned
Clive Barker's Undying (although maybe a little out date for some now)

The new AvP scares the bejeezus out of me but only when I am playing as marine. The iconic motion tracker noise is what does it!!! But when I play as alien or predator I have nothing to fear.

Indeed, the first alien encounter scared the life outta me, just turned round as it was starting to attack me!

Lights out and headphones up loud, you will be scared!

Dead space. Could only play it in short bursts

Doom 3 if you've never played it. Like someone else has said the graphics are still good even amongst the big games of today.

There are jack-in-the-boxes more scarier that F.E.A.R.

Scary Games:

Project Zero II: Crimson Butterfly
Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem
Doom 3
Silent Hill 2

The first 2 are the best and unfortunately not available on the PC, legitimately anyway, Doom 3 depends on what you find scary and Silent Hill 2 has aged pretty badly.

Dead Space can be but is more about creeping you out and making you jump.

This scared the hell out of me back in the day and that was only the demo.

Edit: Go for Doom 3, not scary but made me jump a lot.
