Schumacher is just the dirtiest most unsporting driver in F1

DC did lift off in zero visibility while on the racing line. That was pure stupidity.

never saw what was wrong with that - considering the TV had a better view than any of the drivers, and the viewers could see **** all at the time - becaue of the sheer amount of rain / spray at the time- , always thought (at that point in the race) Schumi was wrong for going full steam ahead when he could see absolutely squat in front of him

(maybe DC should have done something different too, but I dont think it should have been ALL on DC's shoulders either - and MS lost any of the "moral" highground by his .......boxing antics ..... in the pitlane soon after imo)

Should it matter if it happens on lap 1 or lap 70?

There is a rule in F1 that says anything that needs to be looked at within three/five laps of the end of the current race will only occur after the race has finished - and depending on severity will either be a fine or grid drop etc for the next race

In a way it was stupid and pointless as rubens had the faster car so he would have got past. But it was very exciting and one of the highlights of the race.

The fact is he left enough room and there was no crash so maybe he was jsut trying to scare rubens and put him off. These things happen at such high speeds with very little thinking time stuff liek this is bound to happen sometimes. If people hink your easy to overtake you become a easy target.

As in the top gear thing about senna he used to do it all the time and the cars was much less safer back then

Doesn't matter, racing is racing. There is nothing wrong with the mentality "you are not getting passed me".

True to an extent but there has to be a limit somewhere and blocking so severely that your competitor could be put into a wall (and is likely to take you out as well) isn't accepted any more.

you do realise it was a race and schumacher was racing yes?

whats he suposed to be doing? back markers should never slow down on the racing line or stay on the racing line when beeing lapped no matter what the conditions are.

i dont know how you can even try to blame schumacher for spa 98.

it was the second accident coulthard caused in that race with the first one taking out half the field at the start and people think webber is bad!

your alowed to weave once schumacher already started to go to one side it was upto barrichello to either go the other way or lift off.

you cant use your car as a bullet and expect the person infront to get out of the way

Schumacher never weaved. He held a nice slow diagonal line across the track. He did that because he knew, if he had weaved and defended the RHS, Rubens would have passed around the outside.

So Rubens was given 2 options, 1 go up the inside, where there was enough space and he would have the line for the corner; 2 go round the outside where Schumacher would have tried to hang him out to dry.

Lifting off was never an option, Schumacher made his mistake exiting the final turn and Rubens knew the time to pass had come.
