Schumacher to Mercedes GP?

Interesting that he's still running with his "Marlboro" helmet. Would have expected him to go back to something more like he used in the old days now that he's cut his ties with Ferrari.

was thinking that myself, was expecting the white base/blue top with the german flag colours again. Cant see him starting the season with a red helmet.

Mercesdes not finished their helmet design maybe and he just wore one that he had that fitted him perfect so he could test his neck further?

Reminds me of those pictures you see of some aged accountant thats been bought a track day session by the misses.

If he was british, the mechanics would have slipped a pipe and slippers into the shot.

That red helmet certainly makes no sense at all. I fully expect it to have changed to a Merc silver/white helmet by the start of the season. I think one article said it best when it said:

Qualifying will be done with no fuel and they'll start the race with 200 miles' worth. So there's the chance for more than a few errors to creep in. It's a situation just made for the greatest adaptor of all, Michael Schumacher.

Nico Rosberg says he is pleased to be Michael Schumacher's team-mate at Mercedes in 2010. "I am beside the reference in F1. You couldn't dream of more," he told L'Equipe, adding: "I have the assurance we will have equal equipment... All the attention will be on him and I will have the time to concentrate on my work. And when I win in Bahrain, people will not be concerned about the number on my car, but the driver who is in it."
all i can say is LOLWUT ?

ill lolwut when his teammate destroys nico rosbergs career making him look like an amateur out on a track day

I think we need to wait and see what happens. It may be the case that MS returns and he lacks the speed he had when he was younger. If this is the case, he might not even complete the season.

Also, give MS's age, Mercedes may not give him as much preferential treatment as he got when he was at Ferrari and Bennetton.

It may be the awful colour profile on this monitor, but that helmet looks almost illuminous?

I like it :)
