My wife signed me up for 6 months to the Scorchio hot sauce club. Most recently I got "Bee Sting" sauce - honey and habanero - and it's delicious. Fantastic in a stir fry or drizzled over salad.

Scotch Bonnets taste nice chopped and placed on a cheese burger

Dont forget to save some seeds for free ones next year

awesome! reminds me to get some more sauce from scorchio's. (maybe some naga's) cheers guys :)

anyone reccomend anything similar maybe hotter to dave's insanity gourmet sauce? cheers :p

Don't like scotch bonnets. Fairly hot, but have no taste or texture..

My sister grew some fancy breeds last year and they where awesome. They actually ahd a nice taste and texture to go with the heat.

You need to rub it on the food that you want to spice up.

Or be a man and put the whole thing in a curry.*

*Don't do this, I nearly pooed myself. The heat lasted hours.

You can put them in whole, but the problem is you need to be carefull not to burst it or overcook it to the point that it falls apart.

If that happens, expect a Ring O Fire!

We grew some habaneros at home a couple of years ago, fantastic chilli-really hot but has an awesome taste as well! My mum brought back a bottle of something called Susie's hot sauce from Antigua last year, it's pretty hot! Not sure what type of chilli is in it though (the ingredients just say "hot peppers").

I'd order a bottle of Blair's After Death. Very hot, but keeps a lot of the fresh chilli flavour as it doesn't contain extract.

If you want something incredibly hot, go with Sudden Death or Mega Death. These contain a lot of extract so don't taste as "fresh", but holy hell they're hot.

damn, too late lol :( only just read this thread after ordering >.<, i've just ordered some "Flying Goose Brand Sriracha Hot Chilli Sauce" for everyday use on chips and stuff. aaaanndd... some "Da' Bomb Ground Zero" for soups and chilli's/curries. cant wait to get it! :D

Just so you are aware, unlike other chilllis Scotch bonnets are not normally cut and used in a recipe. They are used to infuse sauces etc by placing them in the sauce for a few minutes and then remove, sort of like a boquet garni (sp).

Not in Jamaican cooking they aren't ;)
