scout update TF2

Engi's are far too strong anyway, anything that helps take the gits down is a welcome addition imo.
Especially since thanks to the backstab changes you can't sneak up and sidestab them or jump on their heads and stab down anymore, so all a competant Engi needs to do is sit with his back to a wall next to his dispenser and he's safe until the Uber comes.
 
Nah, engies had a hard time already with demomans and soldiers, they could easily destroy everything out of the turrets range or in the demomans case without LoS.

But the energy drink is good imo, indeed a good distraction.

You can't do this? Aw man, I kinda wished they hadn't changed the stabs at all :(
 
it's still very early days, valve could change many aspects, like they did with the pyro's backburner, at first that gave you +50hp!

personally i don't think the tradeoff of losing doublejump is worth it for the sandman, tripple jump using the f'nature and standard bat is amazing though, you can really fly through levels :)
 
just started playing after a long break, and whats with the new server browser? you can only see a few? anyway to get the css style one back?
 
Just got the sandman and been having a play with it but i definatly dont think i will use it often. Much prefer the regular bat and miss being able to double jump when using the sandman. The whole novelty whack a baseball at someone to stun them is wearing off.

I am however looking forward to getting the energy drink. The force a nature isnt too bad either and is quite nice when you go round a corner, only to meet a heavy or pyro as it allows you to push them away.
 
The Heavy is a suicide mission now, not fast enough to get out of the way and too easy to hit, once your stunned your gun spins down, to even have a hope of returning fire you've got to go shotty and by coincidence natasha's stopped working.

Maybe the vast number of scounts makes it feel so unfair but as it is valve may as well have deleted the heavy.
 
I have to say the scout baseball is really getting tedious right now, the pyro class is having as many problems as the heavy when it comes to range against the scout.
 
The whole "everyone play scout" phase is dying down (well at least on the servers i play on) and its going back to the norm...i must say though, as a scout, i have been killed by a heavy/pyro, many times over the past few days. As a heavy, just keep firing :D

Just unlocked the energy drink, its quite nice when you have to get out of a situation fast.

Seen people do that before. Infact, i saw a whole guide on it. And while it does look better i think i have read that some servers dont like you changing mat_picmip as some consider it an advantage. Mainly because i think you can set it so the graphics are really plain and simple (very low) and it can give you an advantage.

Anyway, what ever works for you. ;)
 
If you were playing on GTFO servers they disabled the taunts as it was causing servers to crash.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh I was wondering if it was just my game playing up the other night!

I've seen on some servers (Can't remember which ones, THG maybe?) a note about the spies causing their servers to crash - any ideas if this has been fixed yet? It's currently heaven for me whilst being a sniper :D

Yeah apparently it's linux severs.
