lol the steam forums are going mental, the oldest post on the front page of the tf2 forum is like 4 mins

I have voted the for the sandman first.

Force a nature imo screams boring from all sides, slow reload and slow fire? WTF ! I want a jackhammer style shotgun :D.

I say its the same, just a different angle of the weapon. I'd expect Valve to mix it up a bit in terms of the weapon design as they have done with the other classes. I don't feel the change is noticeable.

i hate to say i-toad-a-so

but i-toad-a-so!

Its not nice to gloat :p

Imo Valve have ballsed this one up. Thats now what, 6 shotguns in the game? Going to give Tf2 a rest for a week or two anyway, going to be scouts vs engineers for the next few weeks methinks.

The new weapon looks alright, nice option but i really dont believe that there should be a slow reload, but the thing is how slow is slow.

And i wouldnt mind one of those t-shirts.

i do love the styling on the release notes for Force a Nature. Just like those coupon ads in the back of comics for x-ray specs... make me grin from ear to ear.

Well the pyro's new secondary replaced his shotgun.
So the soli's new secondary and the engi's new primary might not be shotty's either :)

Don't think you can blame Valve for keeping his primary weapon a shotgun, they had to keep his main weapon fairly similar to keep it consistent with what they have done in the past.
Medic weapons - all similar.
Heavy primary weapon - both miniguns.
Pyro primary weapon - both flamethrowers.
Scout primary weapon - both shotguns.

Makes sense to me.

Seen as I hardly ever actually use the primary as a scout, im not to bothered. Its all about double jumpin and boinkin with the bat!

Nice update, i thought they might of released that "nail gun" weapon that the scout had in the original tf2 trailer. Oh well, nice update all the same.

Hmm what will be next? :o

So much for innovation :p.

I just don't see a reason to use the new gun. Oooh, Scout now has a rocket jump, wait... didn't he basically have that with the double jump? A flying character is generally pretty noticeable and I can't see many scouts living long enough to consistently jump over peoples heads. It just seems to be a weapon built around a gimmick that can only be used effectively on a small majority of maps.

You know, I never even noticed that... Looks like a pistol with a tommy gun style cartridge? The first trailer shows him with the Snipers machine gun too....
