scout update TF2

And will continue to be for around 9 hours. They've not even hit 5pm yet :p.

Meh they should do them updates properly at the start of each day, eg. 00:00 am, not somewhere in the middle of the night, it's long been Saturday in Asia and it's still stuck on ''available friday''.

Classes with the ability to ascend rapidly (Soldiers, Demomen, and Scouts using the new scattergun unlockable ) have lots of options for traversing the arenas

So, scouts will now be able to climb upwards fast? This definately needs to be at the cost of some speed, or the loss of double jump with the Sandman is negated by the unlockable jump gun thingy.

Valve are based in the USA, and who in their right mind wants to be up at midnight updating websites. They have done it in the afternoon for them, which is different for people in other time zones, get over it.

A Dustbowl-style control point map, Egypt is visually striking, full of great combat spaces, and features some really interesting uses of vertical space. Classes with the ability to ascend rapidly (Soldiers, Demomen, and Scouts using the new scattergun unlockable ) have lots of options for traversing the arenas. In addition, the ruins provide Engineers with a large number of potential sentrygun locations.

CP_Fastlane update

Fastlane is an update to one of the first community maps we shipped. This release features a wide variety of changes, from spawn and capture timer tweaks, to geometry and art modifications, to exploit fixes.

imo, Egypt isn't good enough to be released as a community map by Valve. I was expecting new maps official maps, not one mediocre community map & an updated current map. Bah!

So we've got:
Scout weapon unlocks
3 new community maps (1 is arena, the least played game-mode)
1 updated current map (spawn times changed, 'geometry and art modifications' and exploit fixes)
I'm guessing a new gametype with the one double payload style map we saw on the pic with the Scout Energy Drink.

No so great as some of the other updates :(

The best bit about the updates has been the maps they've released: pl_goldrush, pl_badwater, cp_steel, ctf_turbine. I honestly don't really care for weapon unlocks and wish they'd just concentrate on new game-types & maps :)

Eh!? Rocket launcher style scatter gun to jump about? Or maybe it just means that the Scout can get up to high places as Scout can double jump - that'd make more sense.

There's a blowback on the new gun so im guessing you can use it to do a rocket jump type move

so pyro style gas puff, which is like a ut3 jackhammer, pushes you in the air :D?

So the Force A Nature will be an unlock for the scatter gun... do we recon it will actually fire anything, or just be like the jackhammer and only work at close range?
