Hope they crash and burn in a car accident.

That's probably one of the most disgusting examples of yobbish unprovoked violence that's ever been copied and pasted onto these forums. Just absolutely diabolical, it beggars belief, people who do that sort of thing do not deserve a place on this Earth.

The 49-year-old, who was wearing dark glasses and carrying a white stick, had just got off a bus in Greenock town centre when he was hit from behind.

Never saw it coming, did he?

Give me a break, there's funny and then there's innapropriate and sick.

You need to learn a sense of detachment. You cant save everyone, its not your personal crusade.

In the end, with this sort of behaviour, you're only hurting youself.

Arguing this with you would be pointless, I agree there's a time when you have to make light of a situation, but it should be obvious when it's appropriate and when it clearly isn't.

I wouldnt say its inappropriate in the current forum. To his friends, people he knew, or people who had been genuinely affected by this event yes, it would be inappropriate to say to them.

But to a bunch of people who really couldnt give a toad, and like to demonstrate their fake indignation across the internet, id say its fairly appropriate.

Get out.

Now be honest, Is this the first time you've read about horrible people in the world?
If it is, you've lived a very sheltered life.

Fact is, there are horrible people everywhere and they will do horrible things, you react with hatred and anger. I react with a little joke to lighten the situation, to look on the birght side of life if you will.

Would you still react with hatred if it turned out the yob in question had mental stability issues like tourettes or even schizophrenia?

I'm not denying horrible things happen all over the world, and most of the time a thread like this is posted I don't contribute because it's true; this and things far worse happen everyday. I found this particular assault upsetting due to suffering from poor eyesight myself, and the possibility that I could be blind in the future.

Whether the yob who did it had mental stablity issues has nothing to do with it, the fact is is that a man who was as defenceless as you could imagine was attacked without any reason. For me it's the straw that broke the camels back, it's disgusted me a lot more than the usual assaults you hear about.
