Second hand prices

Ha I thought this, also though this user was mad to not accept the latest offer, have they not learnt their lesson, 6800 on there for not much different... Be dropped to £300 soon
yea it does @Defy Belief :p
I saw another card in there last night I can't remember which but he bought it for 400 and wanted to sell it for 400 even though now it's 3rd or 4th hand and apparently lost 0 value in the months this person owned it.

what planet are these people living on?

I remember the gold old days when second hand meant around 50-75% the cost of new. now it apparently means new -20% or so even if the card has been used for 2-3 years and is no longer covered by a warranty

**** knows where this guy is livin' but it looks more like a wishlist...
3080ti with warranty went on the MM for £575 last week. he's really not that far off with everything from there and below. Bit more needs adding to the 3090s i suppose. I saw a 3060ti for £200 on facebook market a few days ago. Prices are continuing to fall.

I understood that when cards were in short supply, with high demand and mining being very profitable...people paid anything just to get their hands on a card.

But now it's the opposite, but people still seem to be trying to ride that wave...add that to the cost of living, you'd have to be stupid to pay / expect someone to pay the same price as you did.

3 posts as i created acc today -.-. 180days and 997 posts to go... :( wish i knew this before lol

Don't worry, it's not as good as it used to be because of the above, it used to be full of great value offerings most days, absolutely full of kind gestures/people, The situation changed when people were clearly profiteering from cards, even seen people steal Amazon codes that someone posted in the thread by accident...by the time you get your posts up it might be a bit brighter again :)

I really hope so, I'm not person who would buy overpriced product (graphics card for £1000+) and I'm still on my 970 on 1440p ^^ as these new generation 2nd hand cards are not worth what people are asking for them

You still get some good deals in there just not so much for GPUs anymore.

Gotta love the irony of the delusional people ridiculing the used prices listed and mocking the poster. Oh the delicious irony.

I wonder if they are trying to convince themselves or us, that an RTX 3xx0, or AMD 6xx0 can still get anywhere close to last years scalped prices. I'm seeing used 3090s going for ~£720 right now. Used RTX 3080s are going for an average of £500. So if you think you can get much more than £500 for your used 3080 10Gb, then you are delusional.

60ti for £200 seems ridiculously cheap. Round my way, Facebook marketplace is as inflated as ever. 1070's are going for £200. Although I highly doubt anyone will snap that up, even with the capitalised message of "ABSOLUTELY NO OFFERS" added in there to re-enforce the value.

The market is crazy... try searching ebay for 2070 super FE's. Seen them go for almost £300! Can't understand why people are paying that at all.

Weird times we're living in
Herin lies the problem. People paid scalping prices for a 30x0 last year, they think they are entitled to most of that money back. Just because they think their 3070 is worth £500 doesn't make it worht £500.
You took that out of my mouth

I paid close to 900 for mine (3070) and I know it is worth around 350, I wanted it and could not wait any longer, I pay the price for my impatience, but am ok with that.
I think the phrase you are missing is "Self responsibility".
