Second hand prices

4090fe's didn't sell out they sold the designated amount nvidia wanted them to sell, while nvidia is sending invites via geforce experience to nvidia gpu owners to buy the rest sat in stock at the retailer, while trying to get people to register on geforce experience because they have had a hard time getting people to register and login on it as people don't want to give nvidia their details and nvidia to sit there collecting information off their system.

It's a scam really and also AIB cards are available right now for 4090s, just need to know where to find them and some still at msrp while others are sat in stock because retailers are trying to scalp them and people are not buying them.
Another thing am finding is one place i know that have 4090 in stock are mainly only selling them in a full system build to make more money

yeah there are several outlets doing that. charging minimum £5k for a prebuild with RTX 4090 - next day build as well meaning plenty of stock.

Literally every shop has Rtx 4090 now. And not sold

The 4090's that are remaining in stock (that I've seen) are the ones based on the reference design (or worse) and I think people spending 2k on a GPU want more than the bottom of the ladder.
I've barely seen any of the better designed AIB cards in stock, and one card popped up on a competitors site (Suprim X) last night turned into a massive queue scrap to try and grab one, and that was over 2k.

So I'm fairly sure people are prepared to stump up the money, but not for the cheapo editions.

If it's ~£1200 4080, ~£900 4070, and ~£600 4060, plus gouging tax then I agree.

Why do they need to be expensive to be in stock? There was plenty of stock of 980 Ti, 980, 970, 960. They didn't fly off the shelf if I recall. The 10 series had stock issues because of the previous mining boom. Then the RTX 20 series had plenty of stock.

There's no mining boom now so I don't understand why most people think there will be a shortage.

There is no shortages... They are being drip fed everyday and you can see that at retailers everyday that still have other 4090s not even selling at the silly prices they have for them and drip feeding other models. 40 series has no shortages and don't fall for that. They are all worried soon they will crash in price back to what they should cost and why the drip feeding to make it look like quickly get one or they will be gone games. This is not the same as 30 series issues.

The GPU market has been completely bananas over the last couple of years and Nvidia is actively manipulating for it to continue.

I picked up a second hand 3090 for £690 will go nicely with my aorus master z790 and i7 13700k and samsung 980 pro and corsair ddr5 5600, will maybe look at 4090 in future but nothing out there I play on samsung 34" that requires it really

OC has had the Suprim in for a while now but a) it's £2,190 (!) and b) it's not even a Suprim X. Prices are madness.

Sold my 3090 for 750. Happy with that. Not upgrading per se but side stepping to 6950xt which is 20% faster than 3090 on MW2 which is what I predominantly play.

Going to hopefully find something fairly reasonable for 6950xt. Maybe 750.

After snagging a 4090FE in the last drop I sold my 3090FE on the MM last week for £700.

Could have held out for more possibly but glad to sell it to someone on here rather than FB or eBay.

It’s actually the first GPU I’ve ever sold, usually they become hand me downs but my kids are still happy with 1080P gaming so sod the pair of them!
