Nice going Loudbob, your rac will hardly drop at all won't your pending carry you for a few days?
Have been reading up on 465's depending on brand i wouldn't do what some people are doing....flashing them with 470 bios it's worked in some cases but you can imagine the risks :eek::D
 
Will leave them as is.......

Don't like to mess too much with the hardware.

T'is just until I decide what will be going in the new rig......around September time.
 
I cant remember what news bulletin it was in Marine but trust me Loudbob listed the hardware and it was jawdropping credit card melting specs.
980x 12gb ram 678969654 gpu's etc...be afraid...be very afraid :eek::D
 
Once I have my car running and paid for the colossal insurance premium I will be looking to upgrade my GPU's hopefully by then dual GPU nvidia cards will be out and I can do my yearly upgrade, Might even keep current rig as a second cruncher :eek:

I only had a single rig for long enough.......

Only thing was, it had three GTX260's (highly overclocked) which were quite good whilst they lasted. Then I upgraded with a second rig with 2 x GTS250's (for my daughter) and a couple of Hybrids (for my main rig) which were good for the 6 weeks that they lasted.

Time for another upgrade - 1 per week for next three weeks (if motherboard will accept 3 x GTX465's. It didn't like it when I put an 8600GT in wth the two Hybrids).
 
loudbob and toxic are so going to leave red marks when they stomp all over me....
anyways, a small non tiffy update from me;
I broke top 1000 in the world! Not bad since I was on slacking decline- worst position was ~45k in the world. lol.
Also, can't quite seem to break top 100 in RAC in the world either. oh well.

Good to hear that S'ah, just as well too as you could get left behind in the RAC stakes otherwise.
Its going to be interesting to see if I can match your future RAC using old tech..................and brute force :p

Could someone please give me some idea how to use Lunatics Rebrand tool, I'm downloading a ridiculous amount of cpu work with next to no gpu work.

Have downloaded CPU_GPU_rebrand_V2.pl

Make sure you stop Boinc before running.

Run the test a few times and modify the loading to CPU or GPU depending what you want, then click Test till you get a balance you like, then hit Submit or Run or whatever it is to apply it.

Then I just hit test again to check its done it right, then close it and start up boinc again.

i usually skip those steps too halz, when it throws a wobbly, you just have to kill the manager and restart it, and it usually reconnects no problems.
the only thing that you're likely to loose is that if it is crunching on a particular wu at that moment and you flip it over- loss of one wu, or all the current work that you had already done on a wu- er 3-4 hours of work?

bob- weren't we racing to 10 mil? hehe :p
halz- my current uk position is 60- 1 behind edge (its starting to get annoying how he manages to stay in front of me for so long, really :p) current estimate to break into the top 50 UK is 14 days. Estimates say I will break into the top 30 (80+ days) about the time Reaver kicks my behind.

On a team note, did you realise all top 5 producers in the last month got over 1 mil points each? a mil a month! wowza!
