Well folks its Earth Day 2011, we've managed another year without blowing ourselves up or dissapearing down that cosmic sinkhole from last weeks news.

Aaah i see you have a 2nd 260 and its allready producing, should propell your figures northwards for next week ahem .... unless of course Mr kolala has plans for your demise :eek:;) :D

My production will drop a little over the next week or two (I'm down to only two machines anyway these days to keep the leccie bill under (some) control) while I try to diagnose a rebooting issue. I thought it was the increased o/c, but now it's looking like the two 480s won't play together. I have to stress test each first, then try both to prove that two together are the problem. The Corsair 850W PSU should be able to handle the load with both in, but I may have to think about replacing that if it appears to be the issue.

Thank you for the news Mr Tbag, it seems I'm still above k3v in the single league even though he crunched more than me this week :p, if I send a few Easter eggs your way can you see to it I'm above Marine Iguana as well?! ;):p:D

:( I wish you luck with your fault finding Mr Meridian sah, i would have thought 850 would be cutting it a bit fine with 2 x gtx 480 but [yoda/] either way a speedy return make you must! [yoda\]

Yeah I now have to keep eyes on the temp of my 470 as it likes to get a little warm, But ill just adjust the overclock according to time of day should keep things in check :)
 
Your still using the 800d so why not put the 470 at the bottom where it will catch more air from that incoming fan above the power supply :)

Er...

i920 at 4.3GHz (at 4.2 currently for testing)
6GB RAM
2 x GTX480s in SLI
4 x SATA drives: 2 in RAID 0 and 2 in RAID 1
2 x DVDs
Swiftech H20 320 Edge cooling system
3 more 120mm fans

I would have thought less as well, but the PSU is the obvious issue. Anyway, just ordered a Corsair 1200W and we will see what happens.

It's not really tinkering yet: the new PSU won't arrive before Tuesday, and probably not until Wednesday, so all I've done is stability test with one 480. I've had one reboot, which worries me. Once the new PSU is installed I'll try again with just one card and if it survives a week without reboots I'll swap cards and try again. If each is OK alone, I'll then go back to SLI. If I'm still getting reboots with both cards on their own it will be back to the drawing board. But it will be at least two weeks before full production is resumed.
