Sheffield unless you work in IT then Leeds but I would consider Manchester as well. Sheffield is an amazing city to live in it feels like a small town but is one of the biggest cities in the country it's ridiculously green and the Peak District national park is on your doorstep. My house is 45 minutes gentle walk from the city centre and the same from the national park. The city centre is s bit sad thanks to Meadowhall (worst planning decision ever) but is undergoing loads of regeneration at the minute and looking really good.

It might seem like I was blessed Fusion, but in actual fact, it was blind, dumb luck, a case of hearing about something, deciding there and then to go for it, with absolutely no idea of how it would all pan out in the future.
I simply wanted to get back to somewhere near Tower Bridge, and the place I lived in prior to buying in Welling, Kent, was maybe 900 metres from where I live now.
Can’t argue about not being able to afford to buy where we are now though, if we were looking today.

London is great if you earn enough money to enjoy it sadly to enjoy the same life style I do up north the pay rise required is not realistic!
