Shell petrol stations.

They had a points reward for getting close to a round pound, could be making it more difficult :p

£30 or above.

I found a post on saving money forum from 2010 which describes exactly what I've been experiencing. It's just very strange.

The reason of posting this thread was to see if any others have experienced similar.

Though as usual you get the "y DnT u FilUp tHe TaNk?" responses.

Possible just a rounding issue?

As an example, at 139.9, 14.29 litres comes to 19.992, which rounds to 19.99 but 14.30 litres comes to 20.006, which rounds to 20.01...

You want to bang the Indian guy (who is always there no matter what time. Works 120 hours per week) behind the counter.
LMAO those Indian's sure know how to work! It's like that at our local petrol station's, all of them. Indian's must have a monopoly!

wouldnt trust petrol stations as far as i could throw them,

one of our local ones had a major card skimming racket going for a while

i always add 20litres. if you fill it right up arent you just paying to carry around extra fuel where the weight makes you burn fuel faster at the start?

I bet she sits there idling whilst waiting for a pump to free up. Probably also ‘nips out’ to get fuel too

I’ll tell my boss this, must be costing them a fortune with all these 550 litre tanks we have.... :p
