Clocked most of it quite quickly which was a bit of a shame, I'm sure the writers wanted to make it complicated and to keep you guessing until the end, but I had if clocked
I didn't think this was as good as last week. It didn't compare well to the original Hound of the baskervilles plot, the motives for murder where quite weak and not well elaborated. Individual parts of the show where great, e.g the banter/ dialogue etc and I enjoyed watching it but after it was concluded I felt disappointed as the ending was weak.
Different feel to the episode, more so with it not being one with Moriarty being behind the scenes. Still very good television, and a decent set up the next.
I've been disappointed by a lot of UK drama in recent years, so I ignored this because it seemed a bit OTT.
Well, it is. But it's also unexpectedly rather impressive. I just watched the first of this series and apart from the bit where the "bad guy" agrees to send his two thugs (far) away I enjoyed it. The story deserved better than that transparent plot device.
Still, I'm onboard from now. It's nice to be able to spice up my HBO diet with something home grown for a change.
Only very recently got into this as my mate has banging on about them. First one I saw being last weeks episode which I thought was fantastic. Last nights was good also, just nt as good as the previosu one IMO. Just found it all a bit daft, maybe thats what there all like I dont know as ive only seen 2
I think this one suffered a little from over confidence. Similarly, it seemed about as week as the second episode from the first series in that because nothing relating to the story arc happened it lost some of its force.
I think this episode had a few subtles in there, like why he saw Moriarty in the gas, when it was readily apparent he wasnt behind this - a nice reminder of their relationship or Holmes' mental state especially considering what he felt the first time he was dosed...
