My wife is Pakistani. My kids are mixed race. My wife's family are Muslim.

I've had enough of the atrocities done in the name of Islam and I am not an intolerant racist. Islam is not a race anyway.
 
well,then I guess Islam and the Muslims had better get their shoes on and start reforming...

I know it's an impossible call,however there's no way we can take this kind of attack on our values and societies....

The media picks up only a small number of stories about Islamic terrorism, mostly those of domestic or international interest. There have been very few stories of Christian terrorism because actually, Christian terrorism is extremely rare. There are simply very few incidents of domestic or international Christian terrorism worth of a headline.

Same when white people in Yorkshire were raping little girls there was no mass media about it, but everyone knows about the Rochdale Grooming case.

Do you have any examples of rape gangs which were ignored by the police because of the racial element? That was the reason those stories were so big. There have been many other Muslim rape gang stories which got very little national coverage.
 
I have nothing but sadness for the families, friends and colleagues of those who's lives were taken today in the name of offence.

We now balance ever more on a double edged sword, on one side we need to do something about attacks but the other is the cost of doing so. I fear any response will be a heavy handed blunderbuss of policy and restriction.

It almost seems inevitable that a right wing Europe will emerge in the next 12-24 months. :(

We ended up having to get my girlfriends teenage cousin a rape alarm as she was being approached by Asian men almost on a daily basis. One day one of them was being very aggressive as if he had some right to her or something, she was very shaken up.

My Mrs worked on the Rochdale case I know how big it was. Whether it's be big or small why don't we hear anything about none Muslim child grooming cases.

What a great question....

How many times have you needed to say that following such an atrocity?

You can not separate the two elements when the perpetrators are using it as their reason for being and their reason for action. If the 'yea but' arguments stopped each time these events happen the world would be less tired of the "yea but you can't blame it on a religion".

If that religion didn't exist, do you think the same actions would be undertaken for the same reasons or even different reasons?

Surely you shouldn't know anything about the case, bar public domain, unless you directly worked on it - that is unless your "Mrs" breeched her professional confidentiality stipulations. :confused:

My point is when it's Muslims who have done the wrong, the entire religion is blasted as in some comments in this thread. Also there's a media Frenzy about it. When it's a non-Muslim in the wrong, the media hardly covers it, it's a story on the 5th page of the newspaper or a few pixels on the website.

They've been tried in court: all the relevant evidence is public.

which is how exactly ? Nuke the entire middle east ?, send the boys back in like we did in Iraq and Afghanistan....... what exactly is "dealing with appropriately"

It is obvious military solutions don't work, look at what we left behind in Iraq and Afghanistan. Also remember it was the west that were so eager to pile arms into the hands of Libyan and Syrian "freedom fighters" who opposed their regimes even though it was common knowledge that these brigands were terrorist organisations.
