Yeah! Apologise!!

Cheets64 .... professional troll of all threads GT5P related.

What, I am just saying my feelings on a discussion bored, like people discuss about XBL being a rip off, same thing, I just find it funny how people are easily blinded, OMG THATS A RIP OFF vs THIS IS WORTH £24.99.

You see where I am coming from.

My point is, have you played the game? ...... do you even own the console the game is available for?

If not then how can you comment on its value for money and wether it is worth the asking price?

thats brilliant and if nothing else it will stop the smackjobs online from using people as a braking aid! (god i hate GT5P online, the sooner there is a lobby update the better...)

'Course it won't. Just means that if you do get used as a "braking aid" then you're royally screwed if the damage is realistic. :/

No, it's nothing more than a demo. You are essentially beta testers and have paid for the experience. It's ludicrous that you have to pay for this,

It WILL though how ever lead to a better final product, as the beta has hit a loads of people, but still to pay £20 in some instances is nothing short of scandalous

Because I am a potential customer.

Really? To be serious, unless you have the game and played it then you can't really comment on wether the product is value for money.

I can comment on games I haven't played when it comes to wether I personally like the style of the game, if the graphics look good etc.

But until I play the game I can not really comment of its value for the money I spent on it.

Then don't buy it!! I am enjoying the game and I am getting value for my money.

Glad I spent £20 for it.

thats what people are forgetting, GT5P is getting bitched about as if they're charging full price... its 3 quid more than tekken 5 from the psn and i would say you get a lot more game for your cash!
Not sure which way you mean by that. But of all the games i'v bought tekken 5 IS the best VFM i've experianced for a long time. The amount of hours i've sunk into it compared to the price.

Hi there gt5 is value for money considering bought army of two two weeks ago still havent managed to get a go online . Yet got the hong kong version of gt5 in december and always managed to get online and have a race beats any game out for ps3 in my eyes :D

its pretty immense for £20 it has to be said.

Yep, what other demos last well over 10 hours? I don't think you could complete A, B, C and S class even within 10 hours!

No wait, I was assuming all the full games out at the moment even last 10 hours, my bad. :D

Haha.

No, prologue only works because the demo itself is longer to complete than a lot of games. Ive put over 20 hours into it so far, and im yet to beat S class.

If game companies were to release more advanced demo's like GT5p for a price of around £10-20, would you buy them up?
No. I don't want to pay to play half finished games on a regular basis (ok I can make an exception with GT5P, although I haven't bought it yet) and I don't want to encourage publishers to release half finished games either.

Didn't think of that, i've put more time into prologue than it took for me to complete Drakes Fortune... and devil may cry 4, Doom 3, Crysis, Halo etc.

don't worry I won't be buying it.

Don't get me wrong I'm not criticising you for buying the game, but more the price that the developers have released it as.

You are not playing a full game, you are playing a demo, which has been released as a "teaser" which is *******. It's a beta test essentially.

Thanks for clearing that up for us, the little people who don't understand such things.

If it was a demo, if this truly is a demo then why did the lead guy say on public TV all over, Prologue will have frequent updates/content updates and patches between now and April 2009... the game will be getting updated all the time.

Now correct me if I'm wrong, a demo is stand alone "for demonstration purposes" and that was GT HD.

If you want the demo, its on the US PSN store. The demo is called GT HD concept v1.2. 16 cars, 1 track.

Wind yer neck in mate. Go seek a response from someone else.

Wasn't looking a response, just showing that you seem to be a little bit smug in the fact you are explaining that GT5P is not a full game .... to the people who bought it.

We know!!

A futile exercise if ever there was one.

And they are not charging full price either, so I believe that the asking price for this game is more than fair.

calm it down, everyone seems to be taking the whole GT5 thing very seriously. Getting very defensive over a car game.

Hilly even states he's not criticising those who buy it.

As for the whole is it a demo, isn't it thing, does anybody actually know if GTHD demo is the same engine as GT5 ? It features the same track thats in GT5P but in a different thread I was told its just HD GT4.

If game companies were to release more advanced demo's like GT5p for a price of around £10-20, would you buy them up? Imagine konami released the first hour of MGS4 for £15 or Rockstar sold first 5 missions of GTA4. Do you think this would work? Would it help the final game or just empty more wallets out?

There's no if about it, this is Sony's way of obtaining revenue for online play/PSN/dedicated servers etc, and they have always said this will be the way they obtain this revenue. First you had Warhawk with 5 maps, now GT5P, next will be Wip3out & Socom. Also I'm fairly sure the online component of MGS4 will work the same way?

Whether this is fair remains to be seen, and can only really be judged on how much these updates cost, and ultimately whether individuals feel they are getting value for money.
